Didn't want the win to be decided on a call like that. TJ seemed to take an age to kick the ball. We will be accused of being favoured but England/ Itoje were really cynical on defence and were lucky not to get a yellow which balances out the disallowed try.

Cynical runs both ways. Look back at the amount of times that Itoje was tackled beyond the ruck.

Well if he’s going to put his hands in at every ruck he attends he’s going to get cleaned out

If you’re attempting to justify cynical play for either side, you’ll be here all day.

Oh bollocks. I saw plenty of crap play from the ABs, but cynical? Nah. It’s just a clean out. They’re always on the limit but every team does it.

The trend continues though, in playing for all the marbles in a highly anticipated game between 2004-2015 the ABs always brought an immaculate performance. This cycle; they've either wilted or farted out something like this.

Not sure about that. I see a lot of similarities this year with 2014. Lots of different combinations, some very scratchy performances, some final minute dramas, in amongst some sublime footy and a few big wins.

Something I just realised looking at the stats, only for penalties conceded, that's a great improvement

I have to say I think the coaches have got that 9 - 10 - 12 balance wrong. And BB isn’t really a fullback.

According to ESPN, Owen Farrell missed ten tackles for England.

Our lineout work was superb. First half we used Squire up the front to disrupt and he got at least one. Then Whitelock was used. Brilliant to move Retallick there in the 2nd 40.

When we made a half break and started supporting our ball carriers we looked really good.

I'd like a Crotty - Goodhue starting midfield against Ireland, with ALB on the bench.

Would also like TJP-Mo'unga at 9 and 10, with BB at 15 and Dmac at 22 for impact off the bench, but can't see that happening (yet).

What happened to SBW? The sky feed Shat itself so missed it.

Eddie will be regretting substituting Hartley so early. Average player but his lineout throwing was very good. George was a mess.

It's unbelievable how long they've persisted with SBW, I've lost faith in the selectors regarding the midfield, it's annoying, really.

@tordah It's as if they've been trying to justify his contract. When he re-signed, there were already doubts about the length of his contract extension and whether he'd make the 2019RWC.

SBW went off with a injured shoulder. Made 0 metres in attack again.

I dislike Itoje as a player! I reckon he is let away with so much at the breakdown, always putting hands in the ruck to slow it down, but I guess good on him, he gets away with it.

One of these ones where you could say ABs played shit and where luck but actually in reflection did pretty good. Hard place to win, pooring rain and down 15 after 20min Eng played as well as they could, but still stayed calm and tightened the screws. One thing you can guarantee this week and next is how hard teams will come out but absolutely shocking start from us.
England for me this was your chance and you blew it, too predictable and ABs adjusted and they didnt.
