    15-10. England a deserved lead

Terrible 30 minutes by the All Blacks. Then things got better when SBW left the field......

That scrum call by Read was masterful IMO - not just because we scored. 15-0 or 15-3 it makes little difference to either teams psyche at half time PLUS we would have restarted in our own half with three minutes left, enough to bleed more points. Plus sends a good message to the ref about potential scrum shenanigans in the second half as the field chops up and the subs come on.

The old adage of going with the option the opposition don't want you to take was spot on there.

I’d be looking at getting Richie out there ,

Think his taking the ball to the line will be good here ,

    Move beauden to fb

Why the fuck would you do that when Dmac is easily the best back out there. Just fuck off BB into the stands

    Quick thoughts.

Bloody happy with that scoreline considering.

SBW feels career over. Crotty has been awesome since he has been on.

What the actual fuck is Squire doing? Hanging out wide doing zero. Talk about ineffectual.

DMac very impressive considering the conditions.

Have to agree with the coms in and around SBW,might be time to look somewhere else..There might be better options,no question Goodhue is the first midfield pick,,but Crotty ,ABL and Laumape are looking in front of the que

The kicking tactics have been over used this year. As a rule, it has given away possession for no advantage. Coaching issue for me rather than Beauden.

Well, well, gobshite of the day award goes to Billy Tell with his "easy peasy" prediction. My apologies to our English posters. When I saw driving rain, I thought "uh oh", this could go pear-shaped.

    Right

    1. SBW, not a starter! Backline looks sooooo much better with Crotty and Goodhue together
    2. I'd be tempted to bring Todd on for Squire

    Otherwise, as you were.

The England 7 has had a very good game, so too the much-maligned Itoje.

That last 5 minutes was crucial, we are right back in this.

@hooroo Or BB/Dmac to the left wing. Rieko has been absent.

But if you look at the tests this year it has been a first half tactic mainly. Second 40 we have definitely changed it.

@hooroo wasn’t intended to punish dmac , more swapping the 10s , he has been good ,

You could do it that way , but can’t see the coaches doing it

NZ comprehensively outplayed until BB stopped kicking aimlessly.

England thoroughly deserve their lead, but will be kicking themselves it's so close after having all the first half.

Should have kept Shields off. Lawes awesome.

England will be lucky to stay at 15 if they keep on infringing.

Going to be a cracking second half.

Speed is our best friend. Reckon we need to really ramp it up in the 2nd half. Bring on Todd for Squire, and Richie M, to add some spice.

@act-crusader our first half’s have been average. So not sure you can say kicking has worked.

I’d forgotten Squire was out there. Has his name been mentioned once?

In this game , the conditions suggest it’s a day for kicking , but the quality of the kicks were shit

@kev yeah I agree. But the strategy of playing a certain way in the 1st half and changing things in the 2nd have been successful this year.

Just need to work on execution
