    @majorrage said in UFC:

KN did his press conference and apologised. He explained why he lost it - the goading from MacGregor about his family, religion, country - he said it was too much.

But he did admit he was in the wrong to do what he did. Maybe a bit manufactured in try and appease the issues he's going to face, but it did come across as sincere.

He won the fight. That should have been enough for him. Hope he doesn't get paid and faces a long ban.

Silliest comeback from Khabib today about how McGregor "insulted his religion, insulted his country and insulted his father..." And yet he jumped out of the ring to attack someone else when the person who did all the insulting was right there in the ring with him.

I totally get the hate but Khabib looks like a class A clown, along with Conor(that sneaky off camera punch is just as bad as what Khabib did).

@duluth this was the fight of the night for me. Pettis got the cuts etc but it was a close fight and I would have loved to have seen the 3rd. I think Pettis is an amazing fighter and I hope he gets a rematch. Ferguson is ninja.

They used the footage of Conor and his gang attacking his bus as part of the promo ,

You got to wonder how much this incident is going to help them promote the next fight ,

    Coincidence ?

not saying it was set up ,because i dont know,

but if they fight again , they will get a bigger audience because of it .

    Great night. Wild night.

1 for 3 in EARLY PRELIMS
    Great KO from Martin
    Great finish from Lenz
    Fair play to Kunitskaya. Dominated

    2 for 4 in PRELIMS
    Big upset win for Holtzman
Ladd fought like a lad. Wow.
Turner has some silky skills, but Luque is nails
Deserved win for Formiga. Pettis disappointing.

2 for 5 in MAIN CARD
    Watterson v Herrig. Awful

Volkov a very skillful tactician and if he'd pressed he would have finished Lewis inside two rounds. Paid the price for dithering.
Derrick Lewis Leg End (see above)
    'My balls is hot' 🙂

    Hats off to Reyes. Masterclass.

Great comeback from Ferguson. Epic fight. Pettis poor bastard.

Whoever Ferguson fghts next it will be a cracker.

Wrote this about the title fight

    Conor McGregor
Too quick, too powerful, too smart

Got the manner, but not the man.
Fair play to Khabib. His striking improved more than McG's grappling.
    Too good, too accurate.

    Bonkers finish.

Who knows what will happen next?

If there is a rematch it could go the way of the Diaz fights with McG working his opponent out.

But at this stage Ferguson deserves next go.

If you're Stipe you would have to be thinking about looking at your options. Deserved a rematch but gets passed over by Lewis because the latter is comedy value with a ko punch.

Lots of top guys are getting treated like mid carders due to not being wwe characters.

    Yep.

Hopefully the circus will leave town in 2019 and we can get back to a consistency of barnstorming fights.

In fairness to Lewis, he deserves a shot. Never ducked a fight.

Fedor could fully go to the UFC right now and probably give anyone in the HW division a good go. Fuck I hope Sonnen retires.

Adesanya passes another test with ease.

Some huge fights coming for him against fighters in the top five. I'm hoping hoping for a New Zealandish title fight with Whittaker in a year or so

    Great card top to bottom.

Had Brunson. Thought his strength would be too much.

    Happily proved wrong.

    Frevola fight was magic.

Another good card over the weekend

As expected Yair Rodriguez vs the Korean Zombie had some great striking. Then there was a crazy finish. This KO happened at 24.59 of a 25 minute fight. Yes, KZ was lunging forward recklessly but that's an incredible elbow

It was a close fight but I had KZ edging it if it lasted one second longer

    Dos Anjos owned by Usman.

And JDS won one for the old fellas watching.

Reminded me of Saturday nights growing up when the latest young Turk would come up to Aberdare to take on one of the Silverbacks.

    And go home smarting.

Adelaide was a bit of a shocker for the local fighters. 4 losses in a row to finish the night. I hope we don't see Hunt fight again.. he looked frustrated his 44year old body couldn't do what it used to

Kai Kara-France looked good on debut, he's exactly what the 125 division needs. City Kickboxing has had an incredible year
