Pumas vs All Blacks
-
OK so a while away but now has a bit more frisson with the improvement of Los Pumas, coupled with the loss to the Boks. What I am wondering is if the Wise Men will stick with the plan they had last year, high minute/important players will get an extra week off and go direct to S.A.? Or do you think that's not on the cards now. Bear in mind that the northern tour is long, but not too intense opposition wise. FYI:
30 Sept vs Pumas
7 Oct vs Boks
~3 weeks off
27 Oct vs Oz in Japan
3 Nov vs Japan
10 Nov vs Eng
17 Nov vs Ireland
24 Nov vs ItalySo they can have a pretty wet sail vs Italy at the end, game is a given - tho I bet we'll be crap! Oz, unless things change, are middling at best - and the Bok defeat, along with this being a sorta RWC tester, will hopefully stop any 3rd Bled complacency. Then England, who knows what will turn up and then Ireland, that could be sooo very close to taking the #1 spot by that point (they play Italy and Arg which could be good for a few decimal points).
What say you? I think the ABs will trust their original plans, and we'll see some senior players stay back. Some have not had heaps of minutes via injuries or rests (Read, Bender, Ioane outside of SR, etc) so I think there will be a strong core still. There is also a few areas of injuries prop/lock/6 that means we'll take whatever we've got! But Beaudy might stay back, as he was supposed to last year but didn't (Soapy's baby, I think?); maybe A Smith; any others?

Karl T, Coltman, Ofa, Retallick, Hemopo, Frizzell, Cane, L. Whitelock, Smith, B. Barrett, Ioane, SBW, ALB, B. Smith, DMac

@act-crusader You could probably go Tuipulotu at lock, Hemopo at 6 and the Tongan God of rugby at 8 to get to 15.

Who are you and what have you done with ACTC?

@act-crusader and why not NMS on the wing?

OK so no plans this year for resting vs Arg in Arg. Hopefully we'll see a lot less silliness next two tests.
