60 chins ( not quite all in the one set ) at the park at lunch today and not in typical workout attire ( pants and shirt ) guns feeling sore already so I'm sure the DOMS will be flaring in no time.

Hand grippers and rope climbing ensure that it's the muscles that crap out well before the grip does.

If you're into your chins you should give Murph a go:

    1 mile run, 100 pullups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, 1 mile run.

Was planning to do it on Friday but farking manflu might kneecap me.

Is there an option where you don't have to run?

Would that also be the option of you not having a cock and balls?

I remember that abortion of a show. Nearly destroyed my marriage. Any torture is worse than having to sit through 5 minutes of that.

@mn5 I won't ask for more details on that 5min of torture, sounds far too long imo!

    Bump.........

Well the Pilates has unfortunately gone the way of the relationship.......Tinder and Bumble have been very kind to me but those stories are for the other thread.

    Fucken women.

Flexibility has regressed but in terms of good power moves and party tricks to impress my sons and any prospective ladies out there I'm up there with the very best....

    this is always a goody....

Yes I can actually do these, not as pretty as this guys but I still get some quality airtime. Pretty good for 98kg.

I'm still working the dips, chins, rope climbs, tyre flips and I've started a few park sprints which are good to keep the legs in check.

Hill walks are also a staple part of the cardio routine, fuck going on a run any longer than 100 metres like the rest of you sick fucks.

As I touched on on @Hooroo s thread the intermittent fasting is working wonders. I'm sitting in the home office typing this and looking forward to my first feed at 12ish ( four poached eggs on toast ) and on my third black coffee. I do get it isn't an eating plan for everyone but it is one that agrees with my lifestyle provided I stop eating/drinking by about 8-30ish ( I give myself a bit of leeway over the weekend obviously )

I'm 42 next month and as each year passes I'm reminded of the importance of good habits and keeping the rig in fighting fit, functional shape. My old man ( just turned 75 ) still swims SIX days a week ! ( 72 year old Mum only does, four, so lazy ). As none of my grandparents made it to 80 my folks are bucking the trend like a motherfucker and are a great example for me and the grandkids.

People who love running and craft beer seem to be a a pretty happy mix, I have a couple of crafties with them most weeks after the run ( when I say run it's them who run, I just meet them at the pub and save a spot for them ).

They'll never get me out there much as they try.

I'm keeping a journal with what I'm doing and any physical goals that I've conquered which is always motivational.

I'll also try and update this thread more often when not fucking round on other fern related topics.

Struck down midweek with a spew bug but 14 hours sleep and no food ensured I got over that reasonably quickly.

I've also got into the discipline of having an intense but relatively short and extremely picturesque walk in the hills each morning, best time of year to do this in my opinion.

Rope climbs dips and furniture removal ( with the inspirational old man at the other end of the couches ) completed the weeks fitness based activites.

Been a few months since I've done tire flips but I did some of those and the DOMs is raring up like a mutha fucka. I love them. I wish I had a tire for my backyard !

Also here is some grainy footage of me trying to be Superman. Please ignore the complete lack of workout clothes.

EDIT.....and the video didn't even download. FML

First rope climb in awhile last week, arms and grip were suitably fried after that but nice to scale it, a bit shaky at the top and I actually got a bit of vertigo which just about fucked my shit up until I calmed down.

Also had a fun mini putt date at Carlucciland ( google it, sensational place ) with the potential next mrs MN5. I cheated and still lost ( Golfs a stupid game ) but I could tell she was impressed with my anvil lifting ability ( there’s all sorts of sculptures and bits and pieces nearby ), those things weigh an absolute ton and it was a fantastic test of the old all over strength.

Also did the usual dips, stair sprints and explosive Superman push ups to round out the last couple of weeks.

Careful. Don't want to bugger yourself out before you move in for the kill.

"I really do fancy you, but after lifting that anvil all day I think I'd prefer to have an early night."

Have seen a couple of stretching programmes online which I am tempted to order because since I'm not doing Pilates my already limited flexibility has gotten worse which is not ideal. It would be quite nice to add the splits to my array of tricks and obviously at 42 things are only gonna get worse before they get better if nothing is done about it !

Good park session yesterday, freezing in the shade but satisfying busting out some dips, chins etc.
