Fuck and fuck
Led Zepp "Nobody's fault but mine"
Clan completely shit the bed in a game to be remembered immemorial.
I'm fucken livid and glaring at the coaches box.
What chance a team who've cantered into 5 finals in 5 years all of a sudden looks shit as a fucken Deans prodigy smears his stink on a winning culture?fluffybunnies
edit: and a cold shoulder to our All Blacks (sans Squire?) who should have got that job done. aww fuck it

Man - that game was pretty much in the bag when the Highlanders were hammering at the Tahs line and leading 23-6. Tahs heads were dropping and they were waiting for the final nail to be hammered home.
But, then a silly intercept pass... Waisake handed them a crowbar - the lid was smashed off and the corpse spent 10 minutes orchestrating a zombie apocalypse.
Highlanders will be gutted at that result.

Reckon Naholo may have put paid to his AB chances - at least as far as WC chances go. Bridge is starting to look very very good, and makes the right decisions.
-
@shadowtrooper that's the difference at that level; decision making and execution under pressure.
-
I hope the Lions (sure they will win their QF) absolutely smack the Tahds next week, they fuckin are long overdue for a good working over,

Highlanders by 15 eh @NTA
They were up by 17 at half time and fucked it. Not my fault.
Naholo - like Savea - is a great attacking player but a shit defender. His yellow card should not have made that much difference, but it did.
-
Tahs were superb at exploiting the extra bit of space when Naholo went off. When the Landers were up a man, they looked rushed, pressured and out of control.
-
@shadowtrooper Yes, it’s not much point being a ‘power’ winger if you don’t have a brain. In the 14 position, we’re better off with a Doug Howlett-type kick chaser.

Steady on, Naholo being a buffoon doesn't elevate Bridge from being a Jonny McNichol wannabee sucking on the teat of the best forward pack in the comp
-
Think I'm most disappointed with the lack of leadership and cool heads shown by the senior players/All Blacks. Naholo's YC should have been the moment they regrouped. Instead they completely fell to bits. So much so that when they were up a man, they played like they were down several.
If I were the AB coaches, I'd be pissy at that display.

Big difference between McNichol and Bridge is that Bridge can create and has a higher work rate. He makes more metres closer to the action. Bridge is a better defender as well.
Jonny was probably quicker though.

@act-crusader they're both fucken average to anybody not from canterbury

@canerbry I am starting to wonder whether The Smiths have lost their mojo...
I'm not worried at all about Aaron, but Ben doesn't seem to be quite the same player he was before his sabbatical and especially of a couple of years ago when any mistake by him was a source of amazement.
On the plus side, I thought Squire had a very strong game - went hard the full 80.
