Why is Marshall saying Naholo shouldn’t have been allowed to go for that turnover in which he won the penalty?
He was the first man on his feet to the tackle, of course he is allowed a crack FFS, doesn’t matter how many people were involved in the tackle and now on the ground.

He seemed to be saying that you can't get a turnover from a ruck.

@kev bits of everything but if the defender had held back on his marker the ball carrier would likely have held on for a few more steps giving the rest of the D time to get in line. If he had still passed early then it was a pass behind the gain line with a chance for defenders to come across. As it was the defender forced the pass to a man in a gap made even bigger by rushing up.

It's Marshall. What does he know anyway. Just ignore the twat.

Yea, that’s the problem. How was it a ruck when Naholo was the first one there?

@hydro11 What are those?
Metres gained in contact is an obvious one. Pure speed as well.
Also ball security and tackle work rate to name a couple more.

Ball security how? Tackle work rate as in - attempts more tackles?

@taniwharugby even if they’re off their feet?

Todd is also six years older. He didn't get picked for the ABs until he was Savea's current age.
Since then Todd has got better, but is now unlikely to improve much more. Savea might well improve considerably in the way Todd did.
In a close call you'd always go with the younger.

Todd is still getting better. Why is he unlikely to improve much more....because he's already way better? Savea is unimproving.
