TJ surprised at a card finally being given. Gobby halfback colleague Marshall also surprised..

Suspect Hooper and Pocock would be watching this with some excitement.

It'll be a different game. Typical early season effort against a defensively sound opponent

Really really tough card, there was no ruck there.

TJP knows - he has to come back around through the gate to contest as the tackler. They've played like that all year.

Ref's having a pretty good game IMHO.

Like the way Les Frogs haven't given up like last week. FatBarstardeau has led his team well so far

@gt12 The AB's had an overlap there. All he needed to do was draw and pass and they would've scored. He took the gap and was lucky.

When he drew the man and passed?

Not to the player who had an umarked man outside him.

We must be talking about another play, I’m talking about him putting Jordie in.

@gunner new rules this year means you can't get up and try to get it, 2 players equals a ruck

That was good. I'm talking about the previous phase where he dummied and gassed it.

@antipodean Yep, completely ignored the overlap and went himself.

I don’t think it was that clear cut. I wonder if we’d be pulling Barrett’s chain for that play, that happened to lead to a try.

Jordie Barrett is a keeper. Tall with a massive boot. The tallness can defend Irish bombs on the EOYT and the kicks in the Highveldt. Plus speed, reads the game well etc. Very impressed
