@mooshld agree with all of that, but there are hardly any transgender people around. They are an anomoly at best. In the US for example they make up just 0.3% of the population - though you wouldn't know it given how much media they get. So any "transgender only" events are not viable.
The harsh reality is they just can't compete in elite sports unless they compete as their gender at birth. This obviously only impacts male -> female transgender, as you're never going to get female -> male transgender competing in mens sports for obvious reasons.
All this bullshit about "inclusivity" is being taken way too far, and sporting bodies need to draw a bloody line in the sand. They've got very solid science backing them up on this, but they're just weak as piss fearing a backlash from the radical lefties.

Guaranteed medal though?

I noticed not everyone knowing where they can watch the different sports. Maybe this helps?

If .3% is true that means there is over a million people in the USA alone. There are countries smaller then that and they manage to have their own sporting leagues. Yeah you're not going to get superbowl coverage or cash when you start out. But tough shit. Life is not fair, and we all have to start somewhere.

Re the transgender athelete thing, I had the pest control guy round today who also happened to be a top swimmer but unfortunately was in the same events as Thorpe, Hackett and Perkins (unlucky fucker). He was having quite the rant about the TJ athletes and how he couldn't understand why they would even want to compete on those terms. Particular mention was made of that AFL colossus who still has a cock and will likely end up crippling someone.
The fact that an honest and logical conversation cannot be had about this due to fear of being labelled some kind of bigot is so utterly ridiculous.

Surely that must be 0.03%?

Maybe on the internet, but in real life most people seem totally capable of doing this.

Unfortunately the internet is real life these days.

150 medals up for grabs in the pool. That's where you pour funding to pad your medal tally.
Fucking Australia.

150 medals and none for doing bombs? That needs addressing straight away.
We could have cleaned up in the mens and womens manu, synchronised splash, medley.... -

Given previous performances at competitions though, they hardly have a leg to stand on.

Should be just a single medal for men's and women's comps (and para) (and trans) ...
Although seriously I think Butterfly can go. You ain't choosing to swim butterfly in any situation other than a swimming comp.

Julia Ratcliffe just won GOLD in the women's hammer. Aussies silver and bronze. Awesome!
We're killing it these games. Well done that ball and chain chucker.
Not sure what our "usual" tally is.
Will have to Google.

We won 14 golds and 45 medals in total last time.
How many realistic gold medal chances do we have left? -

At least McCartney and Adams.

@Virgil looks like there's 6 boxers still in the mix at QF and SF stage including Nyika.

@Virgil don't reckon we're a shot at gold for any of the team sports though.
