My Latest All Blacks Quiz

I missed six in that one - wasted quite a bit of time on the guy Bovidae knew - running through props and hookers.
I don't think I've double counted in Brad Thorn's combined total of league/rugby matches - 452!!! (Includes 30 northern hemisphere matches).

300 or more first class games in NZ rugby.
I had a go at this. 17/19, so better than most. I would never have gotten the players who played 326 and 306 games.
I did bad at this quizz.
Surprised at how many modern players had played 300 FC games and I missed almost all of them. Instead I was wasting my time thinking of old school NPC players with record caps for their province (like an Alan Dawson etc). Their limits were around the 200 for their province from memory, pretty much none of them played another 100 games for other outfits.He may have played a few AB trials, North Island vs South Island etc. The NZ Rugby Almanac lists players who have played 250 or more first class games and he doesn't make the cut. Nor does Ian Eliason (220 odd games for Taranaki)

Fucken shocked that an Italian other than Parisse ( 100 test losses ) not only got nominated but won the POTT award.

The mighty Scots ensured he brought up the century in style. God Bless.

Feel a bit sorry for Parisse given his sterling efforts over the years.
Might just give the Italian Rugby Centurions quiz an update given his latest 'achievement'

2000 or more points in NZ first class rugby.
I wonder if the tally of the bloke at the top will ever be overhauled.

Surprisingly easy, luckily it took last names otherwise I would never have got Dabiel.

Has anyone calculated the total minutes these guys have played? I would guess that the players ranked 1-3 have actually spent less time on the field than the players in 4th and 5th positions.

A quizz for those of us of a certain age .....
Cast your mind back to 1991. The All Blacks were touring Argentina, and simultaneously Romania and USSR were touring NZ.
Romania and USSR played a test each against a New Zealand XV, effectively NZ C as the top 30 players were on the All Black tour.
5 of these players actually went on to play at the world cup later that year, can you name them?
(One of them for another country)

I went to the match against the USSR in Hamilton. Buck was the captain.
:::
If my memory is correct Carter and McCahill played in that game.
A check shows Hewett and Preston were the other ABs.
:::
Not much interest in this one.
This was the other fella:

and 4 or 5 who went on to play for other countries I thought
No. 5 went on to play at that year's world cup, is what I meant; 4 for NZ 1 for Samoa.
Here's another question.
2 players from the NZ XV in those 2 games, not named in the answers above, also went on to play in the 1999 world cup for a different country.
