Pommie BaaBaa & Froggie XV

I think TKB is leaving when he is possibly at his best , and thats not when you want them to go
Has a real hardness and maturity about his play now that has come from experience

Havili - wasn't it him that got bumped off by Chat? He did come back to get him though.
I have noticed that Havili's defensive reads need a lot of work. In this game, and in the SA test, he does his best impersonation of a traffic cone when faced with a player running at him with a player in support. Commit to either the ball carrier or the support player instead of not laying a hand on either.

Thought Goodhue card ok.
Surprised at some of the reaction on here, I've seen it after reading about it here.
He was all over him, like a soccer defender at a corner, then tripped.
You're allowed to run in to each other. It's not illegal. The only thing he did wrong was raise an arm to steady himself. You could argue that was maybe penalisable. He didn't take the player out deliberately. Yellow was ridiculous.

That's what I was expecting to see after reading on here.
But I saw a guy in an inferior position to a support runner using his arms to get into a better position but falling over while doing it, as he is all over him like a bad rash, and taking out said support runner.

Players can't put themselves in positions to take out other players, accidental or not.
Plenty of penalties are given to players trying to roll away from the ball in a ruck, but who didn't take care originally not to fall in a bad position.

For who can't read it:
Despite breaking my hand in the first minute I got on, and @toddy_m_ bringing out the wrong kicking tee 😂 I wouldn't have it any other way. Can't describe the feeling running out there turning a dream to reality. So blessed to have the support of my partner and family there, as well as many others supporting from home. Awesome way to finish what's been a year I will never forget. #1167 #herewegoboys #UPR #checkedout #mahidone #wheresthetreatsat

Broken hand?
Was he meant to stay with the squad or come home? Woll be latter regardless it seems.

@booboo Bird, Moli, Hunt, Drummond and Mo'unga were all expected to return home after the France XV game from the start. So no change in plans.
What I find most remarkable is that Mo'unga could play so well with a broken hand for almost half a game, especially that great tackle on that French forward (Macalou?). He showed no hesitation.

Good Canterbury man, tough as nails

finally got around to watching this game and the YC on Goodhue.
I can see why it was given, with the position on the field and the player he accidentally took out, the ref really had no choice, but if he had gone with a penalty only, I think there wouldn't be too much said either.
But jeez that crowd was feral, people reckon our crowds are bad with booing!

The bolded bit is my point. Not sure how that becomes a YC.

@booboo same way accidental head highs get one?
Oh, as to that obstruction over ruling a dangerous tackle, that was a joke!
Ref quantified it by saying both are foul play, but one in dangerous as well (even if a bit soft anyway)

@taniwharugby whilst completely ignoring the late shoulder charge on Lima ...
My point abut "accidentally" is it is not illegal to jostle for position while running in open play. Falling over is not illegal. Playing the opposing player with your arm(s) is, even if just to steady yourself: that was penalisable. He was YCed for as a result of falling over. I disagreed with that and still do.
As opposed to Pat T who I was surprised didn't get carded (refer other thread).
See ... I'm not completely biased
