The SBW PT probably highlighted where that rule is actually wrong.

I can understand its use in foul or dangerous play (although often refs still don't remove the offending player from the equation in thier decision not to award a PT) but in SBW he has done nothing at all to impede, affect or unintentionally hurt someone else, he just made a ridiculously dumb decision through lack of awareness of the rule (not that this is an excuse)

If there had been a contest in the air and SBW thought that was his only option, or he hit him in the air or blocked him, yep YC and PT all day...but in this instance while technically correct that guy would never have got a try but for a brain fart, which IMO doesn't fit the way that rule is written for.

They have to sort that scrum-half shit at the back of rucks. Lions were doing it too. Shouldn't be able to role the farking ball up and down like a toy until it's in your favourite position.

Agreed that shits me. Seems to be a Northern hemisphere thing that has creeped in. I don't know why the refs are completely ignoring it.

On a positive note BBs goal kicking was 100%. Really good to see.

Dmac was his usual self. Mixing good with headless rubbish. I know he is only there as a back ups back ups back up but he there so his game is going to be scrutinised.
I hope they don't blindly install him as the 3rd choice 10 next year. He should start the year on the same level as Mounga etc and have to prove he is up to it during Super rugby.
Maybe he should try and become the 9/10 hybrid that we haven't really had for a long time (Weepu the closest). Given TKB's spot will soon be open it might be a good option.

Jon Preston from a way back was about the last who doubled as a first five and halfback at the highest level that I can recall.

He probably meant AB's. I think Parra has switched between 9 and 10 more than Pienaar. Could be wrong though.

However, if you're talking informally, the 'n' part in neh, will be like how you prounce 'ng' for Maori words.

Hansen said Read's groin strain, and 48th-minute substitution, was "not a biggie" but made to avoid the risk of aggravating it more. Coles' situation is potentially more serious. "Dane is off to get a scan. It's a bit of a mystery. I'm not sure what's happened. Doc tested him and all the ligaments feel pretty stable. He felt his foot get caught in the turf, but we're not sure what he's done."

The english comms kept saying how well France had played how valiant they were pulling off some beautiful moves etc etc - yeah but they still lost the game...

The pass mark for the ABs is different to everyone else .

I like a lot of what SBW is doing at the moment, but jeez, 2 tests this year a brain explosion has completely changed the course of a test matc plus his tits for hands in another, luckily this one we were that far in front it didn't matter.

Be interesting to see what they do with him and if they decide to have a look at a Crotty/Goodhue midfield that was so effective in Super rugby.

As someone said above, wouldn't mind seeing a Cane/Todd/Read back row.

Not surprised Barrett took over as captain as I’m pretty sure Hansen cane out pre-tour and said Barrett would be given the opportunity on this tour.

We played at the wrong end of the field for far too long during the second half. Poor kicking and executing cost us.

Penalty try - can see why it was given because of the clearly illegal play by SBW.

Have not yet read the thread.

But I know what we're saying...

... here's my take befire I do read and nake any further comment:

    1. I missed the first 10-15 mins and wstched the rest on my phone. So missed some subtleties no doubt.

    2. The ABs will be copping it big time for letting France back in. This is partially deserved. On the back of some dumb mistakes, which we seem to make a hell of a lot of recently, and some complacency, again which we seem to develop a lot of on the back of good first halves, we the Frogs looked better than they really were and it will be our take away impression.

    3. For me it was the single missed tackle close to the ruck that allowed their half (or 10 ... can't remember) to make a break and put them on attack was the big turning point for me.

    4. SBW haters will be going off. Again partially deserved. You do expect a bloke at that level to know the law. And that sort of stuff should not happen at this level. That was quite literally a school boy error. But for you, me, @Crucial, @Bones, @pakman, @Kirwan, @anyone ... who has been playing since we were 5 or 6 we learned that the hard way as a school boy. It becomes instinct as a school boy. Sonny Bill's instinct was the league instinct. It caught him out. Also wondered why Angus took so long to award the PT. Obvious on first view.

    5. We won. We won by 20 points.

Once the ball crosses the line most laws become void.

It crossed the line after the Frog dragged it out of the ruck in the field of play with his hands. No try but should gave been a penalty.

    1. Good question: do we know yet?
    2. I'm pretty sure I heard the antipodean comments dude call Slimani "the best prop in the world". Can those up North or who follow NH footy more than me comment?
