fuck dmac at 10. to do that as a coach would just be arrogance after the maori game. let him work it out at the chiefs.
seriously, what is there to gain from giving him a one-off game at 10? he's not going to overtake lima on one game. he's not going to overtake mo'unga for that matter. so what's the point?

I agree but the situation changed the plans and I think they have made a good call in getting him to iron out test level flaws from the back.
As for this game I really don't think he will wear 10, nor do I think he has the experience there yet. However, if he does it will be a calculated move based on what has been happening in training. If he is showing good signs and has the confidence of the guys around him then I can see him getting a spell. -

I'm hoping DMac gets subbed for Havili. The idea he'd be handed five-eighth duties for the All Blacks when he plays fullback at Super Rugby level is frightening.
