It's a real shame that DMac wasn't at fullback and Lowe on the wing. The Lions kicked a bit of a ball to Lowe in that first half and Lowe didn't know what to do with it other than kick shockers.

DMac i think would've been far more effective at the back.

I've seen Ben Blair play better at 1st 5..... 🙂

They've seen enough. DMac about to be dragged (from 10 anyway)

@kev Renata isn't much chop in the scrum. Might be better than May though. 😕

One of the worst performances of any NZ side for some time. Credit to the Lions, should be a great test match next week.

Heartening for me to see the lions playing for pens in the red zone while a man up. That shit doesn't fly against the best teams in the world.

DMac will be just fine for the chiefs at 10, coz he almost certainly won't be playing behind a pack that is going backwards...

DMac is over-hyped even for the Chiefs

    @Crucial

Bugger, now I'll have to justify my throwaway comments..

These guys that don't put their balls on the line by posting during the game when emotions are high, then come in after the fact to pick apart what's been said....

What is said during the game stays during the game and posters should feel free to completely contradict themselves after the fact.

I can not see the Lions playing any other way next weekend. This was a dry run for the game plan. If your playing on the wing your not going to see the ball. However the AB forward pack has more backbone than the Maori.

Too much haka, not enough rugby work ...

Seriously, after such a cracking haka I do wonder how much time this team spent practicing rugby vs the haka. Basic skills, cohesion has been horrific.

Lions have been damn impressive though. Utterly dominant

Is Justin Marshall angling for a commentary role in the UK? He's so far up the Lions' proverbial, I'd swear he feels he can almost touch the big fat, sterling package so he can spend the rest of his sorry career blowing smoke up the arses of condescending UK broadcasters and getting his hair frosted on Kensington High Street.

So his mate Johnson, you'd think the Maori were the Blues. 😉

McKenzie proves to be just as rubbish at fullback so gets dragged.

It looks like the Maori spent 60 hours practising the haka and a few minutes after lunch catching balls.

    Messam has been pretty shit.

I bet those that think he could slot into 8 for the ABs if Read & Squire don't come right are changing their minds pretty quickly.
