    Alvarez v Poirier
    WOW
Lots of talk about the 6th round between Joshua v Klitschko
Watch the second round of this match. Next level.
    Tough as.
Then mix up with old rules v new rules and it's a No Contest
Shame. That was going to finish one way or another
    Rematch for definite

Best Prelim Card I've ever seen

Joanna is the GOAT woman fighter. Rhonda is so one dimensional compared to her.

    Edgar, nails.
    Maia, nails.
    Miocic, nails.

Boxing has Triple G, Women's MMA has Triple J

    Joanna 'Jab' Jedrzejczyk

Awesome, awesome display against a very tough opponent

Prelim plus Main Card = one of the best in a very, very long time

UFC wants Bisping to fight Romero in the next few months, however Bisping is injured

He believes there will be an interim belt and the fight will between Romero and the Aussie/Kiwi Robert Whittaker

I suspect both of those guys would beat Bisping (along with the a few other middleweights) so theres a reasonable chance this part of the world has a UFC champion soon.

    Romero would be favourite though.

Strong card for Fight Night Gustafsson vs Teixeira

    Great finish from Hadzovic
    Solid performance from Till
    Velickovic rang Musoke's bell

    Big win for Oezdemir

And hard, hard fight between Gustafsson and Teixeira, with a devastating finish

    UFC 212

    Alcantara v Kelleher
Big upset, great patience and confidence from Kelleher on his debut. Got the guillotine in early and tight.

    Eduardo v Lopez
Another upset. Lopez pummelled Eduardo after he slipped the leg lock

    Carlos Junior v Spicely
Really technical and interesting ground fight with Carlos Junior submitting Spicely by rear naked choke in the 2nd

    Assuncao v Moraes
Shadow boxing session with a few fireworks at the death
Assuncao as the 3rd ranked fighter in the division was very unimpressive and could easily have lost the slpit decision

    Silva v Medeiros
Great left hook from Medeiros to put Silva on his back, then ground & pound to finish the fight. Early as far as Silva was concerned.

    Borrachinha v Bamgbose
Borrachinha punished Bamgbose. Brutal kicks to the body

    Belfort v Marquardt
Tough, tough fight between two veterans
Belfort gets the unanimous decision. Not sure about that

    Gadelha v Kowalkiewicz
Great finish from Gadelha. Made it look easy.

    Aldo v Holloway
Rnd 1 to Aldo, but Holloway showed a great chin
Rnd 2 to Holloway, with Aldo showing his toughness under pressure
Rnd 3 and New Undisputed Featherweight Champion of the World, Max Holloway
Stepped the pace up and floored Aldo, then wanted to make a statement and gave up the submission attempt to continue to gound and pound until McCarthy called it

    UFC Fight Night 110
    Auckland, NZ

Some cracking finishes and a fabulous, fan loving finale

    Pichel v Brown
    Goodnight Mr Brown

    Cutelaba v da Silva
    Goodnight Mr da Silva

    Hooker v Pearson
    Goonight Mr Pearson

    Brunson v Kelly
    Goodnight Mr Kelly

    Hunt v Lewis
Hunt with the TKO victory would have been Goodnight Mr Lewis if the ref hadn't stepped in

Yeah, some brutal finishes. This fight night was so much better than the last one they had in Auckland. Incredible noise for the kiwi fighters

3 from 3 for the NZers was impressive. None of them were easy fights to boost up the locals

First up Luke Jumeau. He got better the longer the fight went

Next kiwi was Dan Hooker. I thought he had the performance of the night. Pearson is on the decline but he can still throw a great punch.
Hooker had to eat a few of those punches before getting the finish and he took it well.

I'm excited by how comfortable he looks since moving up a weight class.

Hunt was smart in the main event. Lots of people were complaining in the crowd that Hunt wasn't forcing the pace when Lewis was hurt/tired. However Lewis showed against Travis Browne in his last fight what he can do when he looks out of it.
I was predicting an early Lewis victory but the longer it went the more in the odds went in Hunts favour

Hopefully Lewis doesn't follow through on that retirement announcement

Of the non Kiwis, Cutelaba was a beast. He should have a decent run in the light heavyweight division.
He did this in 22 seconds against a solid opponent

Plenty of finishes on this card

..and poor Dan Kelly got run over by Brunson. He normally finds a way to stay in the battle and grind out results but this time he only lasted a minute

Cutelaba reminded me of Arlovski in his Champion days, esp the fight against Paul Buentello

Holly Holm finally gets her first win since beating Rousey way back in Nov 2015

A dull fight until the KO finish, both fighters looking to counter strike.

Correia taunts Holm just before the kick arrives

    The timing was priceless 🙂

Arlovski made a big mistake trying to take Tybura down. Should have continued to box. Tybura was ready to go.

NZ gets its first (interim) UFC champion, outlasting and outsmarting Yoel Romero, even though Yoel fucked his knee up in the first round. Yoel has no stamina, looked like a zombie by the fourth round. Pity Whittaker's a Russell Crowe NZer, even has a f'n Aussie flag tattoo... Both fighters would've crushed Bisping, though at least he's pretty funny.

Awesome card, except for the second fight on the main card which was a bit of a bathroom break. Disappointed Werdum fucked up and took Overeem down right after breaking Reem's glass jaw, he would've won if he'd just stayed on his feet.

Great fight from Whittaker. Scrambled well early, took some hard shots, worked through an injury and then clearly won the last 3 rounds

I like Bisping but I can't see him competing with Whittaker for the real belt

Bisping adding some bullshit WWE hype:

    Yep to all that.

    Dumb from Werdum.

Manuwa's chances of getting a title fight are pretty much done after today. He had managed to talk his way into contention but that jaw is dodgy

Strange career. He looks unbelievable and smashes everyone outside the top five but cannot beat any real contender

    Jones is scary

I thought DC was striking surprisingly well and might have even edged the first two rounds. Then that head kick and brutal punches. Wow.

    EARLY PRELIMS

    Burkman v Dober
    Cracking finish from Dober
Great way to start the evening

    Brooks v Shelton
Tough for Shelton on the split decision

    Curran v Albu
Barnstormer. Toe to toe for 15 mins. Tough as.
    Tough on Curran.

    PRELIMS

    Fili v Kattar
Solid win for Kattar on the back of a crisp jab

    Ortega v Moicano
Round 1 a great 'boxing' match. Crisp, crisp punch and counter punch in each others faces.
Round 2 more of the same. Great chins from both fighters.
Round 3 more of the same, and then Moicano takes it to the ground and gets guilotteined. Should have stayed standing.
    Cracking contest.

    Barao v Sterling
Good back and forth and deserved decision for Sterling

    Knight v Lamas
Great patience from Lamas, great heart from Knight but big finish from Lamas.

    MAIN CARD

    Manuwa v Oezdemir
WOW. What a finish from Oezdemir.

    Cerrone v Lawler
Great first round, Cerrone showed his mettle against a blitzing Lawler.
Cerrone in charge in round 2.
    Round 3 a war.
No way was that a unanimous decision for Lawler.

    Cyborg v Evinger
Fair play Evinger was game, but Cyborg in a different class.

    Woodley v Maia
Woodley too - insert word - for Maia

    Cormier v Jones
Round 1 both tough as fuck. So quick
Round 2 ditto, DC on top
    Round 3. WOW. Brutal.

A good big 'un will invariably beat a good little 'un
Disappointing from DC bitching to Big John.

Anik, Rogan, Cruz are a fantastic commentary team
