Crusaders vs B&I Lions

Crusaders forwards dominated and a lot of average players looked average. Reminiscent of the first half they had against the Blues.
Sad to let the Lions win one, but at least I'll never have to hear people proposing players like Taufua and Havili for the All Blacks again.

@Donsteppa just shows the difference in mindset

Plus the 9,10, 12 were just out of their depth.

Well played Lions. I said after the West try and subsequent loss that the Lions tour could unravell pretty quickly, but they've held together and continued their improvement. If the ABs are on their game they'll be too good, but the Lions will not roll over particularly in the forward exchanges. Gatland has to take some credit.
The Crusaders were well below their best tonight. Mo'unga looked lost and really struggled, his kicking in particular was aimless and very costly at times. Good Super player but he's a very long way from test standard.
Todd and Whitelock worked hard all night and Goodhue had some classy touches but noone else really put their hand up.
Anyway, the Lions winning is good for the tour and will give them a massive boost in confidence. Bring on the next match v the Landers.

What the fucking fuck. Who swapped the Crusaders for the blues with crusaders masks?
Are u talking about the posters complaining about the ref or about the game?
Hah. That piece of shit play with the scissors and chip kick. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea?
Probably the same guy who threw one of the best fullbacks all season at 12 and threw a 12 on the wing.

Todd was everywhere I thought. Probably our best player with Goodhue.
Lions played an excellent defensive game tonight. You could see the quality as opposed to the rabble that were selected against the Blues...

If the Lions can finish a couple of tries they're a good chance against an AB team with a few "underdone" players.
I think Hansen & co can't afford to go with more than one underdone player. Especially given first (full on) Test rust that often seems to plague them...
-
that rush defence will be interesting v BB, who is pretty handy at getting the ball behind the line, obviously part of that defence relies on the ref allowing them that extra half yard of space over the line too
-
I don't think the Lions looked too good considering how they only scored four penalties against a team that took every available option to not build any pressure.

wtf...you cant lose the game, but you just kick it out, see a NZ team in that situation would have had a crack
They're here to win, not entertain. The Crusaders couldn't figure that out in front of the posts in the first half.

Dagg looks shit this year.
I'm actually thinking Ioane on the right wing is our best option.
Nope - he should be our left wing.
