It seems that the decisions tend to go against non SA team from SA refs in general just IMHO.

Tuipulotu does some good things but he's very loose.

Game was there for the taking for the Blues. SBW otherwise had a good game but he completely shelled a pass that changed the momentum.

The Stormers have been very good at keeping Rieko quiet.

@KiwiMurph I don't think SBW was that good. One good offload that led to a try, but nothing else that says 'pick me for the ABs'.

So the Stormers are the only non-Kiwi team to take NZ scalps ...

Only watched the last 30 minutes of that, but the Blues were poor in that period, looked very poorly drilled, poor passes at the wrong time, errors, turnovers, not good.

Good intensity by the Stormers. Completely different side to the one that got bitch slapped in the South Island.
Gibson and Faumuina the Blues best. Ofa went well too I thought at loosehead. That's probably the Blues season gone. So close yet so far as it relates to being a contender. Some of the reffing calls were outrageously bad but Blues only have themselves to blame.

I don't get statements like this. The Blues only have themselves to blame yet this is a precise example as to how a referee completely influence the result of the game with shit calls. Not one shit call but multiple all going against the away team

Haven't seen the game but read a couple of reports. (Campese directly accuses them of cheating in a couple of tweets. Don't hold back David.)

But the point of neutral refs is that incompetence can't be mistaken for bias or something worse.

    It removes suspicion.

(BTW @mencey it's "biased". Bias is the concept. 😉 )

wow, Matt Duffie with the most ridiculous RC I've seen in quite a while, neither of his YCs were even penalties IMO (he wasn't offside for the first, and the second was not a penalty - unless you get penalised for playing against a fucking midget who cries when someone runs into him)

Or what was the 2nd YC for? Had no sound but looked like a no incident to me

Referee had no bearing on the result.

The second yellow card for Duffie presumably for him flying in for an attempted tackle, which looked like no arms and then knees into the back of the Stormers guy, which Duffie tried to pull out of at the last moment, completely unintentional and didn't look malicious or harmful, perhaps a bit clumsy, card probably a bit harsh but not impossible.

    @infidel

    Just saw the replay.
Disagree pretty strongly with the decision to sin bin him. Kolbe was going to get to his feet but saw Duffie coming so tried to duck him!

    Terrible decision.

Only saw highlights but looked like ref had a mare. Stormers players seemed to quite regularly play the ball even though tackled.

Treeby's tackle was a stiff arm to the jaw that knocked the player out. Clear red card.

His first yellow was a team yellow. It was given after multiple penalties conceded by the Blues. He was just the unlucky one to get the card.

What a shitty game. Blues were in it until the last 10 or so.
Ref went a good deal of the way to help the Stormers. who were flying in off their feet at every ruck. Should have been at least a couple more YCs for Stormers in that 2nd half.
Disappointed with SBW who should have rallied the troops and led by example, but instead dropped the ball cold a couple of times, preferred to get involved in handbags(playing right into the Stormers hands) and carried away from support too often, to find himself isolated
Red cards this season are a bloody joke.
Tana needs to go shopping for a decent first five - and sharpish. Gatland is just plain rubbish.
