Aus teams have won something like 3 of the last 40 odd encounters with NZ sides...canes gonna ruin that record

Why am I not surprised that Shields knocked that on.

At it's plain and obvious now why Shields should not be an All Black.

Lack of on field leadership for the canes.

@gt12 i find him a very ordinary player. Decent enough for super rugby, but that's it

Brumbies got out of jail there, scrum completely demolished on their own line but they dive on the ball and get away with it.

As @MajorRage says the Canes just need to play percentages and we'll run away with it in the end. Don't need to try and blow teams off the park in the first 40, it's the final 20 that guys like the Barrett's and Savea's come into their own.

    Well that was pretty shit.

Bold prediction. BB will save the day late in the 2nd half. Again.

Forwards killing it in the scrums but leadership lacking. Aso should remain on the wing.

@Rancid-Schnitzel hopefully a halftime rev up will see the canes play some actual rugby and just pull away without needing anyone to save the day!

It's testament to how shit Aussie rugby is that the Aussie commentators are talking about this scoreline with absolute disbelief.

If the canes lose this, it should be the death of any top level sport at McLean Park

They bring on TJ they will blow this team away. You can't win games with your scrum motoring backwards.

Need someone in the ear of the ref too, Brumbies fly into rucks on their own ball and don't try to keep their feet. Looks like a mudslide.

@Stargazer said in Hurricanes v Brumbies:

Hmm, that tackle on Jane was borderline ...

The Ponies already had a penalty advantage so the first penalty would apply.

I expect the Canes will win but Barrett et al can't do much without the ball.
