All Blacks v Ireland II
-
@bluedex I'm not sure I agree with you there. I have lived in Dublin for many years (sorry Jegga) and only yesterday some workmates were still complaining about Rollaind apologising for Smiths yellow card!
A good attitude to sport? There was mass hysteria when Thierry Henry robbed them of going to the soccer world cup a few years back, and they were trying to ban French wine and cheese in supermarkets as a result.
When they lose to ozzie in the gaelic rules, its usually because the ozzies roughed them up... And then there was the Irish boxer who gave the judge the finger when he lost at the Olympics this year... And no other country plays hurling to "rob" them of a win unfortunately
Nobody does over reaction better than them, and their is a trend of it. Those with the good attitude are in the minority I'm afraid -
I hope our ladies give them a right hiding. After this week I'm also back anybody else but the Irish to host the RWC 2023

That's all completely over the top and completely at odds with my experience and all other expats I know. They do have a tendency to wind people up for fun, maybe you're just falling for that?
The thing about banning French goods is completely untrue...hilarious but still false. Who told you that?
edit: it's ok, I've just seen your other posts - there's a trend there too.... -

Lovely sentiments. Well done.

@bluedex You obviously live in a cave, so enjoy those green tinted glasses your wearing mate!
Unbelievable. The level of bitterness from some because anyone from another country would dare to be critical of the NZ national team is absolutely amazing - Preciousness.
Continue to moan and whinge about the country where you work and live anyway "mate". Nice one!! -
@bluedex I'm not moaning about the country I live in, you gave an inaccurate portrayal of Irish sports fans. Last weekends game has proved that. I'm not precious about the all blacks, I know they are not angels, but the Irish reaction in general has been one sided without any objectivity
-
@Kiwidom OMG!!! Did they dare say some nasty things about some AB players??? Unforgiveable!!...label them as "whingers"!! That'll teach em!!
Some Irish were actually partisan about their own team and not always completely objective?? Good God, what is the world coming to??
Hilarious double standards. -
@bluedex mate, the same old crap happens when it comes to the AB's touring up north. Generally the fans are fine but more and more your press are just complete bell ends (and ours) before and after every game. Really we should just play our games on tour with 10 men as we are bound to committed 5 red cards offenses during each game so why start the game with these players and why not let your press chose who should be left out. It grates after awhile.
-
@Wreck-Diver You have a point. I've seen press from Aus and NZ when the Lions are down there that would make you fear for the fate of humanity. Similarly we have some pretty feral South Walian press that lay in to England and many things English come 6N time. I deal with them all in the same way - I don't bother to read them or take notice of them even. Sometimes it is unavoidable and gets shoved under my nose in which case I shrug it off as par for the course and only to be expected.
But in reality I'd have to dig pretty deep to find much of this stuff and in fairness you guys seem to get a lot more of it shovelled over to you - maybe the UK press anyway. I'd think you'd have to dig deep to get any Irish press though?

I am often critical of the arrogance and preciousness displayed by a lot of AB fans, but not in this case. The Irish have been nothing short of disgraceful. Most Kiwis I know have acknowledged that the Fekitoa tackle was bad and warranted possibly even more than a week's suspension. We just don't buy into the Irish whinging on the Cane tackle and the assertion that the Abs are thugs. And why should we when this team does not have a history of dirty play. Grow up.

That's my point. There is very little "whingeing", whatever you are being led to believe. You're talking through your hole just because the AB's didn't receive their usual level of adulation for a game in which they won, remember. The NZ bitchfest continues, from some quarters. Oh the irony...

Haha. Look, we all know what the press are like. The NZ press is exactly the same and has the same perception in the NH. Why do you even pay attention to it and get so wound up? That's what I think is hilarious.

Just have a browse through social media and the other rugby forums...the Irish are still at it. You are fooling nobody and are coming across as a massive sore loser.

Total BS. Look at rugby fora and you will see the opposite. You are coming across as an ungracious, pompous and arrogant winner. I'm not Irish BTW, if I was I wouldn't post here.

Don't think you're Kiwi in any case...
There has been a decent amount of Irish whinging, not all fans but a substantial amount.
However, if you remove the ridiculously hyperbolic articles from Neil Francis the response hasn't been too bad I suppose if I put my gracious hat on. -

OK. I'm sure you won't be surprised when you get a world of shit from the press (NZ) during the Lions tour, we will then be painted as horrible hosts. But Yeah.
