Can't really fault those selections. TJ had to come in and very happy to see Reiko on the bench.

Well deserved for TJP and good to see Rieko given a chance. Nice that Kaino and Crotty are back too - timely.

Good side, hopefully Savea and Naholo repay the faith.

    Great interview with Shag

@antipodean yeah that was why I thought it might be a back, but he does look bent slightly.

Surprised @ACT-Crusader didn't get that straight off the bat given he is looking for Cantabs to start where ever he can 😉

I didn't think it was Crockett because they usually don't let him train given he's the most important player for AB success.

My only gripe is sopoaga. In 2015 out of nowhere he got a test against the books at Ellis park. IIRC not a single start this season. Can't help wondering if "operation retain Cruden" is playing a role but maybe that is tinfoil hat stuff.

Even though ABs fans seem to hate the new alternate strip, a group of guys at rugby shirt watch seem to be giving the designer(s) a good reacharound.

I like both shirts the new French home shirt is nice too. I wait and see what the jersey looks like on the players/tv first.

That's very interesting. TBH I couldn't help but feel looking at the social media coming out of Chicago it didn't look like the All Blacks had their mind on the job.

The bench line up seems a little odd to me. Good bench as injury cover but it also means that if Cruden and Ioane are to come on either BB doesn't drop back, Dagg goes off or both starting wingers go off.

My guess is that BB drops back to 15, Dagg to the wing and Ioane to the other wing. I think - after Chicago - they might be reluctant to take off an experienced player like Dagg, especially with BFA missing in action.

Well I'm quite miffed by no Sopoaga. Think he's shown potential in black to be better than Cruden, especially off the bench. Deserves more game time than he's had this year.

Oh but he's the only 10 that's actually from Wellington. I get it now.

@Bones thought TKB might get a run from the bench too, but I dunno a if you should have 2 9s who people call by their initials.

Be great when SBW is back, I guess you can count BFA and BBBR to?

How about operation Cruden is the coaches next best 10 (not to mention he's a long term test player)?

Sopoaga got a start last season because they wanted to blood him in case he was needed in the world cup.

I agree, that's probably why it looked funny. You don't often take off both wings.
