Between him and TMO he gave AB's 14 points for free. He didn't have balls to go to TMO on a forward pass. We all know the try wasn't grounded by Beaudy. Refs must realize that with cams from all angles things get picked up. 2 errors from TMO / Peyper cost Ireland the game. Wait for the press.

I do not know that our forward pack did get dominated but we were well behind in territory and possession then of course there was the penalties. Barrett answered those questions by how well he played.

He was great and kicked bloody well. What shits me to tears though is him being sent to fullback for Cruden. Its exactly around that time that when defenses are buggered that BB could cause havoc. Instead he's a sweeper at the back.

Perhaps, probably more to do with it being the end of a bloody long season. The Wallabies are still unbeaten, be interesting to see how they finish their tour.
Isn't that the excuse you always used to scoff at the NH for using?
South Africa are a mess. Australia were whitewashed at home and mentally broken by England before the RC, and only just squeaked past Scotland (!) last week. Argentina just lost to Wales AND Scotland.
New Zealand are the best in the world, but the overall quality of the rest of the RC teams has been very poor this year.
Yeah for sure the quality has been way down, agree with you there. My observation was more based on the ABs being down on what they were in the RC, from Eden Park onwards. Indicates a bit of mental fatigue.
And I never scoffed at NH teams for using it as an excuse
they often sent depleted squads which did not represent the quality of their side. The recent 3 match series have been great in that they've sent some decent squads down. -
@African-Monkey bro come on. Fekitoa's tackle was poor play by him. It had nothing to do with the kick from Smith. He made the choice to go high and got rightly penalised for it.

That is the benefit of Sopoaga, I guess. He can come straight on at fullback.

Ireland essentially clueless on attack outside of their backrow. Did they have any backs? They could hold the ball but with that amount of possession they should have racked up more points.

Justin Marshall style WOW I really enjoyed that test match . People having been banging on about the 2018 test vs England, but fuck that. Give us the next test vs Ireland pronto. I knew we'd show up, but they did too. They've had the best of general play three times in a row against us now. It's shaping up to be a top rivalry, certainly now our toughest rivalry against guys wearing green.
Tremendous D from the ABs. The Irish really have relatively little to offer in the outside backs (at this stage, though there seems to be talent coming through), but their forward pack is brutal.

While the rest of the world may see us as the team to chase ,
The reality is ,put the wins to one side, with the players we have lost , we are in a rebuilding phase ,
We can improve and I think we will

Clearly grounded the ball on the first replay angle (and a head high to boot)
THe second was a line ball - once the ref calls it, you need more than a crowd booing to overturn. Looked fine to me - look at the lines on the ground and the hand action to clarify
You don't need to look at lines on the ground only the action of the passer. There is no way barring incompetence that would be called a clear and obvious forward pass.
We don't all know the ball wasn't grounded. I saw ball touch ground from one angle and doubt from another angle. The first over rules the second.Hear hear
