2nd time we've now been caught like that...pathetic

2nd time Kaino has been caught like that. Very un-Kaino like performance, playing him at lock has backfired.

@Donsteppa One of them is playing lock.

Are you sure? We'd better take a census at halftime.

Nice of Sam Cane to do something.

Liam Squire successfully auditioning to be the new suitcase.

Irish forwards all over us, arrogant to think we could get away with Kaino at lock.

Read needs to get involved more, lead from the front

We've been arrogant enough to play without a goal kicker all year, so Kaino seemed like a logical extension.

There's a difference between fairness and sacrilege.

    I guarantee we will win.

Not sure we've got the cavalry on the bench this time.

We're getting outplayed pretty badly and I'm not sure we've got many who can come on and turn that around.

I noted Marshy's comment in the build-up about how you don't need to be tall in the lineout these days and I thought, "Really? I wonder why it is that Retallick and Whitelock are both a lot more than 2 metres tall."

Wow. Ireland are bringing all the pain from 2013, and bringing it from on deep. Not sure we have the brains, talent, or bench to come back from here.

So Eddie Jones was right - we do have weaknesses.

Schmidt totally outcoaching Hansen. They are dominating the lineout, using the maul, using the choke tackle (not exactly novel tactics), kicking well - into touch. Picking a 6 at lock has turned out to be a shocker from Steve.

We can turn around 17 points but we need to sharpen up rapidly.

    Sickening.

Ireland look great but we're helping them big time at the moment. No comment on some of the refs early decisions in the game. Our backrow is a complete joke at the moment, lineouts a mess. I made a comment that we could struggle against a team that did the basics right, and I'm afraid with this lock pairing we are.

We need to attack them around the ruck more. I can't remember the last time an All black team actually did that, certainly they haven't this year. We need to score first otherwise the game is gone.

A few strategic subs would help. The Irish Defensive line can fan out because we aren't trying to punch through the ruck/tackle area with pick 'n gos. Big Charlie would help and so would A Savea with his leg drive/not falling over thing.

Fair play to Ireland though - they are bringing it. Be interesting to see if they go into their shells a bit and try to sit on the lead
