All Blacks v France II

“How are you enjoying your time in New Zealand?”
The question you ask when you can’t think of any other questions.

I think he'll be an impact/bench player eventually. But we still need him as a starter given the current number of injuries to three-quarters.
Maybe bench covering wing and center
Fuck all impact though -
@KiwiMurph fair point

"Are you glad you avoided Hamilton and only came down for the game"?

This is a positive win. What do I like? Some awesome players coming through… I want to see more of Proctor, Tavatavanawai and Holland. Yes, not the final product, but a good win 👍

Big Jim can stay. He's quite clearly a postgame party animal.

I’m really not sure given Reiko is no longer viewed as a centre if he warrants a place as a winger moving forward
The lack of vision to link with anyone is concerning can be very thankful their are injuries around the squad and someone like Tangitau is injured
Not trying to be troll regarding Reiko but I do wonder if there.s better optionsWith my eye patch on. I think Tangitau will be a massive asset once he is fit. Looking forward to seeing him fire big time for Auckland.
Saw one picture of thr NPC team and the initial training sessions. Looks like he is still on the shelf

I think the AB I was most disappointed in was Ratima. Back-up half back is a competitive position. If he can't do better, he'll need to be replaced.
He's no Christy.

🤣 thank fuck

I was quite impressed by Rieko. He looks a real threat close to the ruck running off the halfbacks inside shoulder, and as usual, is a solid bet defensively wherever he is on the park.

Rieko is a stop gap 'til Tangitau is fit.

Hey, wins a win right?
Good score, forwards were great. But we're playing faster than our (or any) talent allows.
We won by heaps but I'm underwhelmed. How does this footy go against south africa?

@kev said in All Blacks v France 2:
Why are we so awful chasing kicks? Just seems a waste of time for us whereas with the Boks it’s there number 1 attacking option - they flood the zone.
It's stupid - we flood around the area and one guy goes in for a half hearted tap or a spot tackle, but no one is close enough to take advantage. Yuck tactics.

So you're a Reiko fan?
Wouldn't have guessed. -
Yeah, it’s like we’re too dumb to figure out what’s going on

And kudos to Razor for the selection continuity - looked to me like it paid dividends. PT and EN slotted in perfectly.
I'm liking what I'm seeing more than last season. Whether it's the right way of getting back to the top remains to be seen and much tougher challenges await, but I'm seeing the direction they want to take.
Last year we lacked a bit of direction and looked a bit timid both on the field and with selection.
