    Heart goes out to Chiefs fans. Over the last three years best Super team by a margin.
    Embezzled out of 2023 crown.
    Bashed up in 2024.
    Choked in 2025.

    @Old-Samurai-Jack you can see what I said just above. I'll add to that - with those carries into contact, has he realised / been shown his limitations and just concentrating on his brilliant running and lines? Almost playing like a second five, very busy.

    That cool?

    Will Jordan was the difference. Should have been given man of the match. When he went off injured in the round robin match at that stadium a few weeks back the Crusaders went to pieces and dropped or lost every contestable kick, Mackenzie and Stevenson dominated with the boot and grew in confidence. In the final Jordan just took them both out of the game and his leadership seemed to rub off on Rivez Reihana as well.

    I think he has really turned a corner in maturity and leadership this season and I am looking forward to that playing out for the All Blacks. Hopefully he can stay injury free and play the entire test season.

    @tubbyj

    He absolutely dominated the air in the final. Did get nailed behind the line a couple of times, but most players would have succumbed to those Tupaea rush defence efforts.

    He might well be ready to match his brilliant attacking lines with the rest of his game.

    I'd still like to see him create space from something other than Barrett inherited mabo, as well as link in space. But he looks a gazillion times more reliable than a year ago and is starting to look like Smith sans distribution.

    I still like Norris as a running prop off the bench. I wonder if the Chiefs locks are good at supporting in the scrum. Compared to Crusaders locks anyway.

    Well done, lads!

    Well done, Rob.

    I think I was calling for your head this time last year, because I couldn't see how you'd be good enough to coach us to a title.

    Wasn't very optimistic about this match, but we (well rob and his boys) found the answers at the scrum, the kicking game and in the air. Not quite so much with the kick-off receipts (especially) and the lineout.

    Pretty even first half, but largely controlled the second half, without managing to get the try or two they were pressing for.

    Commiserations to the Chiefs and supporters.

    I missed the game due to family commitments, just caught the highlights, and want to offer Chiefs fans my commiserations for having to endure both TJ and Justin Marshall in the commentary box for that one.

    Even more of a Hugh performance by Fletcher Newell going the whole 80 minutes considering he played the whole game with a grade-two MCL injury.
    He injured his knee in the Blues SF.
    Probably will put Newell out of the French series.

    Which would make playing 80 minutes yesterday a stupid decision. Or, priorities are very different from what mine would be. A shame that he might miss out.

    Then again maybe he felt that he had to play to get into the AB team?

    WTF do I know, I'm just posting to let people know that I'm still alive.

    Would rather TJ and Justin than the Aussie rabble we got.

    I don't mind Maloney as a commentator but was it 100% necessary to have Aus comms for an all NZ game?

    @Snowy love it bro.

    Newell’s play along side Bell and Bower was pretty important at the end and it showed with the scrum dominance. The drop off beyond our 3 ABs is still a little more than you’d want in such a big game.

    The Stan / Ch9 contract includes the OZ based team covering final so they had to do it any way regardless of who was playing.

    It wasn’t great because it was really hollow plus it came across very early in the game broadcast that they weren’t at the ground.

    We used to be able to opt for NZ commentary. Not sure what happened to that.

    Out of interest, and anticipating upcoming Bledisloes, how?
