Also, Justin Marshall could do with learning some laws. He blows up as he wants things ruled, not as the laws are actually interpreted. Damages my viewing experience 😞

Saw footage during todays game where the crowd had jugs of beers. Awesome.

The Springboks won't be easy meat this time. They are always hard to beat in their garden.

    Yes they will.
    Not any more.

Retrograde step to go back to the first XV out of "fear factor".

    And there we go.

    They were easy meat.

    Well played Sir.

@Billy-Tell You're dead right. ALB looks world class, and it seems we've found 50% of the RWC 2019 midfield already. An extraordinarily quick jump he'.s made.

The weirdest thing with ALB is he wasn't really in the frame until injuries struck. They were still really keen on Seta and Fekitoa.

Can't really remember the last All Black who snuck in on the back of injuries and then turned out to be what we are looking for? Maybe Brad Thorn when he came back?

This is from South African media after the game. Made me laugh

"The All Blacks haven't lost at Eden Park since 1994 so the chances of them not getting the record are almost zero, but the way they are playing at the moment you'd back them to win a game played on the moon against the rest of the universe with no limitations on the number of players that team could include."

Well they are the Men in Black. Much better weapons at their disposal, but as a bonus these guys will let you remember.

Not often you score 57 and the score flattered the opposition.

    Unbelievable second half.

Are we sure the ABs won? Reading most of this thread, you'd think we stunk the house out and Barrett's goalkickng actually "cost us".....

Most of the tests this year the ABs have started slowish and built pressure. Then there's a period of screboard pressure that effectively takes the opposition out of the match.

    Today seemed no different.

    Well, that was, um, something

Firstly, South Africa are complete shit.

Our first half was deplorable. Shit options, poor skills, and some of our usually best players were crap (K Read, B Smith, the wings. Oh and TJP sucked).

2nd half was new AB rugby at it's best, get ball, continually move ball, take risks and chase points. And scoring was almost too easy. South Africa really are rubbish.

Best on ground the locks, 4 year veteran ALB, and Squire off the bench.

Really noticed Crotty today, his work rate and clean up work is vital. He and ALB are a ripper midfield

We're taking the piss this year

On ALB and his conradesque qualities. For that charge-down try - just the little things, realising he is in a 2 horse race with Barrett and pulling out of that contest and instead positioning himself for the crazy bounce if it were to occur.

Guy makes the right decisions in real time. No white line fever.

I thought today was different. We weren't building pressure, we were releasing it off a poor side by fumbling or taking bad options. The 2nd half was much more accurate

Sit back and appreciate the qualities of Retallick and Whitelock. You may never see a better locking combo again.
Does anyone else think Barrett kicks too front on. What about more rotation in the strike. I reckon a change in technique. I'm sure he can work it out.
Never thought I'd ever see a more influential AB 7 than Jones but did. Also thought I'd never see a more influential 10 than DC. Could be wrong again. Never seen a 10 dominate a game like Barrett anywhere, ever.

I think Fekitoa just dropped a rung on the pecking order

On a day when BB didn't have his GK sights in that was a powerful display. Sure, in the first half we were inaccurate but the effort endeavour and confidence didn’t waver. Some of those tries were magnificent, a mix of relentless accurate attack and some freakish touches of skill. In the last 25 minutes we blew them away with our fitness and any time you can put 50 on the boks at home it's an achievement. They were well up for the fight early but the Boks simply showed a lack of ambition and were punished accordingly

I thought Barrett had one of his poorer games but he still dominated. Perhaps same with the whole team , one of the more inaccurate performances but they still dominated. ALB outstanding again, Brodie excellent as well. TJ doesn't have the same distance on his pass as A. Smith but he will fight for the ball at the breakdown and is accurate when he clears.

You're about three games too late and in a long queue to be spunking one out over Barrett. His last few matches have been good but not fluff worthy and I doubt he'll rate highly in the TSF MOTM poll this week.

ALB should be the one you're all cracking one out over on the evidence of the last two games. Man that guy is class. Squire had a great cameo too. I can see why he's the impact guy they bring on after Kaino has softened them up.

What a crazy game, the Boks were weirdly in touch in that first half while the ABs were running in tries. But man the ABs are a class above with the ball in hand and a bit of momentum. Even Owen Franks looked ok with the ball this week.

@jegga They showed great humility this week, both Read and TJP commented on how well the Boks played in the first half. So too Hansen. TBF I think they do it on purpose as an up you to the Aussies, it's like haha we rate the Boks higher than you blokes.
