Two high quality semis, and great to see both favourites bundled out. Big Ben T was a super sub for UBB.

It's going to be a Northampton - Bordeaux final on 23 May.

In Cardiff, Bordeaux's first time in the final. Northampton looking to repeat their 2000 win, 25 years on.

Leinster's defence turned to poo against Northampton.

Based on the commentary in this thread I decided to watch this game, and it didn't disappoint. Northampton made Leinster's defence look inept, competed ferociously (and paid the price with deserved YCs) and took well-constructed chances with the odd bit of individual sublime skill to come out winners.

But even at the death you'd have expected Leinster to have executed and won it. But they looked shell shocked from the outset when it turned out that the final wasn't a foregone conclusion and Northampton weren't prepared to play to the Irish script. Most noticeably the Irish commentary slowly acknowledging what was happening before their eyes.

Quite why you'd keep Jordie on the bench for a semi-final beggars belief when he keeps getting MotM and praise for his performances.

Why on earth did Leinster pay all that money to sign Jordie Barrett and then left him on the bench?

    Staggering.

There is some talk in Irish media circles that their hand was forced contractually.

RG Snyman has a similar selection asterisk beside his name.
If the Irish locks are fit he cant start or something to that effect.

Are we sure Henry Pollock isn't somehow Richie McCaw's son?

    More like Michael Jones's.

@pakman Pollock's not as cool or as brown as Ice. Similar height and build to the GOAT though.

@sparky that said, Iceman could have scored that try, and Ardie’s on Saturday, but Richie could not have.

Barrett was free for selection they just didn't pick him.

Both Northampton and Bordeaux play B teams and get well beaten by teams below them on the points table in their weekend games. It's 2 weeks until the final. The French clubs don't take their away games as seriously.

Got excited and thought a move to Somerset wouldn't be too bad.

Then I looked down. That hurts the brain.

Wellington is very close to Tiverton. As long as you can bring your wife, your sister and your aunt you will be fine. Just as long as they are all one and the same person.
