Liam gets hit with a 5 second penalty that drops him to P14. Disappointing, he just needs to drive cleaner and it's a great result. Then mechanical problems cause him to quali near the rear of the field, replacing the battery will put him in the pit lane for the start of the main race

@canefan Seems the story of his season, must be tough.
I watched the crash. Alonso cut him off when he arguably had the right of way. But instead of tucking back in Liam drove into him. Alonso knew exactly what he was doing though, and didn't leave him much room. The mechanical issues are a pain in the arse

Shut up Lando. You went off because you were going too fast to take the corner behind/alongside another car. That was Verstappen's corner.
Liam at it again too.
Lando displaying an impatience that's costing him results. He is in the better car and should know the opportunities will come to him, not forcing the issue on the first lap.

Apart from the bit about the better car, You could have been talking about Lawson....

Lawson is being comprehensively outdriven by teammates.

He beat Tsunoda and Hadjar on the track in the sprint, had mechanical problems in the quali. He has a long way to go, but one thing he appears to need is patience

By beat them in the sprint you mean both Hadjar and Tsunoda finished ahead?
Hadjar and Tsunoda both beat Lawson in free practice one. Hadjar made it into the top 10 for sprint qualifying while Tsunoda's team fucked him by not ensuring he would have time to do a flying lap.
