Well done Canes even with a halfback competent out of his depth at super rugby level in Enari.

First win I believe in Canberra since 2016?

I’ll take a bet that Brumbies 8 gets 3 weeks off.

Along with Tomkinson. And Telea will get downgraded.

Awesome win by the canes, fantastic shape on attack. Another week in the saddle for Love and Proctor running the backs really makes a difference.

That shot on Love is red.

How did the ref miss that in real time. Looked bad at first look

Watching the match on delay. I was thinking to myself that we should have kicked the points at the 60th minute, only to see us score a wonderfully clinical try from the midfield scrum

Where is Viljoen? Surely he offers more?

I honestly expected them to get beaten well so that was a really nice surprise.

Some nice work rate from the Canes locks / loosies and Naholo having a stormer always helps.

The Canes starting backs to a man were very good (replacements a different story - Enari was fucking atrocious).

If I were the coaches I'd be very tempted to keep Love at 10. His passing game is excellent in traffic.

That's a monkey off, for sure. Didn't see that one coming and happy to lose points

He looked like a prospect a couple of years ago. Hasn't kicked on, or out of favour?

He was very sharp against the Waratahs and hasn’t been seen since. Just very odd considering Enari keeps fluffing shit up when he comes on. Hopefully a change happens next week and we see the end of Enari/Hohepa on the bench.

Could have easily been a greater winning margin. Now we have to build on this, keep the continuity.

The refs have just abdicated all responsibility of giving reds to the bunker.

You man clattered Love at full speed with a shoulder to the head.

What off field review do you need mate?

ABs need Proctor's rugby IQ at 13.

Yeah, I am sold, he makes players around him look good like Conrad used to

And we can call him Billy P to combat Englands Billy V and Australias Bobby V.

Well as a one eyed Canes' man, even I didn't think it was a red. Definitely looked first contact was on shoulder, so I thought it was YC. I genuinely would of been very surprised if it had od been upgraded, and won't be cited I reckon.

That's just how I saw it anyway

You know waking up this morning, I still feeling bloody good about the game. There is nothing like your team getting an underdog win, and showing seeds of what you know they can do,
Couple of thoughts are, hope they keep running Love at 10, Godfrey can do 15 when he comes back.
And I keep being impressed at Kirifi, not only how he plays, but when he talks after the match.

I don’t mind persisting with Harkin at 15. There is something very classy about him and he looks to be getting more comfortable every game he plays. Godfrey can be an impact sub when he comes back but whichever way we go we’ve got options.

After watching the full game this morning, Delany, Kirifi and Gallagher were my standouts in the forwards and our whole starting backline was very good. Best game I’ve seen Punivai play, he just ran hard all night. Naholo also played his best game of the season and Higgins and Proctor were very good in the midfield.

Love, well he showed last night that he has the ability to be a very good 10. Some of those touches were utter class and I expect him to get even better the more time he plays in the jersey.

The problem atm is our bench, in particular Enari and Hohepa. There is a huge drop off in class when they come on so we really need Vijoen and Godfrey back into the 23.

@Canes4life Yep, wouldn't get upset with Harkin staying at 15, he's certainly growing into spot. As you say with Love, I also think he's coming on great there, and could well be his position . Like you I thought all starters went well, and can see some good stuff happening if they keep like it, the Roigard/Love axis has the makings of becoming very good, even up a level in a year or 2. All in all I will say, about to go to golf, but going as a very happy Canes man today!
