Ruben Love should be in the main squad this year. Absolutely ready for the big time.

I have a horn on me a cat wouldnt scratch to see him play 10.

Two players that I want to see in black this year based on Super form so far are Tangitau and Kirifi, both playing the house down.

Iose put in a great performance at 6, if he can maintain that and his form at 8, Blackadder can bugger off too.

Iose has had a really slow start to this year but good to see him finally hitting him some form. Hope they keep him there, the Iose, Kirifi, Lakai trio is quite dynamic but they seem to compliment each other nicely.

@Canes4life yeah he certainly played a lot "tougher" than usual yesterday, although stats would be interesting.

Roberston won't pick any of these guys anyway (Kirifi/Iose). He's almost certain to pick world beaters like Grace and Blackadder because they've looked good at home against an understrength Force, Canes and Reds team.

There is something about seeing a big dude running from the back fence. Seeing Iose doing it last night was awesome.

But as @Canes4life says we can expdxt Blackadder, Grace and Lio-Willie to make it.

If Iose can continue his form, especially in terms back end of.the.season, whereas he started on fire last year and tailed off, who knows.

Iose looks a handy 6/8 player, but I guess if fit and in form, Blackadder does give better versatility for a squad, but being fit and in form...

@taniwharugby I think the only thing I'd pick an in form Blackadder over Iose for would be tackle attempts. I don't see why Iose couldn't cover 7 to the same degree (i.e McCaw at about 20%).

    Dear God.

What next, a recall for Dallas McLeod ?

I'm not even commenting on Blackadder, we know he's a shoe in.

    Razor press conference in June

"Ethan has shown unbelievable character to shrug off so many injuries and get a whole season of Super Rugby under his belt. I'm so rapt that he's finally had the opportunity to show everyone how ineffective he can be at this level which will translate to test Rugby brilliantly. Picking him was as big a no brainer as picking David Havili"

@Bones not saying it's right, just how I expect the coaches to see it, given thier preference for jack-of-all-trade type players instead of specialists.

Jason Ryan isn't a fan of Grace.

Very little chance of him getting picked. I don't think he even made the all blacks XV last year did he?

I'd prefer Sean Withy to Iose if we are talking about undersized 6's

Is he any fitter this year, looked a bit off the pace last season.

@SammyC Yeah Grace didn't get in the XV squad. Haig, Flanders, Parker and Kellow were all picked over him.

Kirifi has been great for years. A proper unit.

Harry Wilson loves to wind up and have a go at some shoulders from distance.

    He is game as fuck.

He always stands out to me in the "run it straight bro" stakes.

I've come around to Kirifi. Always thought he was a bit vanilla and too small.

But he plays "bigger" than that, and is a gun at t/os.

Happy with him in the squad. (My starting 3 are Ardie at 7 (yes, that), Sititi at 8, Finau at 6.

Not on board with the Wellicane Mafia about Iose. Yet.

How is he "vanilla" especially compared to the incumbent AB loose forwards. I thought his mongrel was a bit of a point of difference ?

Hurricanes coming into some really lethal form this week. Looking quite resurgant, our other Kiwis teams somewhat flat. Highlanders have some really awesome young players, man they need the rub of the green.
