    @Tim

At least they changed the name for general release. It went out as The Chosen.

I didn't even know they're on today. Looks like Anora is in the box seat to take out best picture going by the other winners.

    I didn't even know they're on today.

I saw one of the local breweries had an "Oscar watch" event - so I could go and watch the entire thing if I wanted.
I conveniently forgot which one it was.
And luckily didn't stumble across it in today's brewery-crawl.

They should make a Terminator movie with the Reacher guy.

Half way through Furiosa, yep it's pretty much all that the wise men of the fern said it was. Some pretty cool action scenes I must say.

Furiosas Mum was a hell of a shot with a rifle.

Some ridiculously over the top characters as expected. Obviously PEDs are easy to get hold of in the wasteland and theres loads of gyms around.

Better than the Tom Hardy one so far.

As is the case of every Mad Max movie they certainly rev their bikes a lot and lots of unnecessary bursts from the flame throwers considering the gas shortage.

    Finished this.

Stunt work absolutely top notch and some fun action scenes. Furiosa sure can shoot, that sniping at Dementus was terrific.

The Wasteland doesn't look like much fun if you're not part of a good crew. In saying that Immortan Joes pad looks like a hole too.

Better than the Tom Hardy one overall.

Tom Hardy is great but his presence alone isn't enough to save a bad movie ( sorry, going off topic )

    T.I.M

Saw this on Neon and should have known better.

Chick gets a job designing AI Robots, get's given one by the factory to try out. and her hubby get jealous. Develops a mind of its own and things turn to shit.

Predictable as fuck, some absolutely terrible acting and WHY when they design these androids in Movies do they make them super strong and pretty much impervious to damage ? surely that's asking for massive trouble if they play up ?

@Catogrande Unfortunately I haven't seen that one. Inferno I can vouch for though.

I'm Still Here: 8 movies down on my Best Pic Oscar watch and this is the best of them for me so far.

Brazilian film about disappearances of people during the early 1970s under an authoritarian military dictatorship. Really well made, tense in parts, interesting story

Was watching a bit of Commando yesterday. New favourite part - when his daughter gets kidnapped, and he realised that his truck was immobilized, he was like "no problem, I'll just Fred Flinstone it". God-tier movie

That’s up there with convincing the flight attendant he was airsick before the plane had even taken off right after he killed the guy looking after him in a crowded plane with no one seeing.

Those South Americans did NOT know who they were fucking with. They should have listened to Bennett

Bennett looked like he should have been singing with the village people. I always thought Cook should have been the main antagonist.

Vernon Wells was outstanding in Mad Max though. He had to be chained up til the Lord Humungous released him to cause carnage.

His outfit was definitely sketchy, he was overweight and he got almost sexually excited at the thought of running his knife through Matrix. But all in all it was a great movie. So many moments and one liners by all the actors

Interesting theory, he was pretty bad ass, and would have made for a better final boss fight, though not as "flamboyant".

Consummate "little creep" David Patrick Kelly, after being asked "look, could you please just leave me alone", "you fucken' whore!".

    So very, very good.
