I wrote the above before the movie ended. It got worse. Unfathomably fucking stupid. Strong contender for the dumbest thing I'll see this year.

Sounds ok from the premise but then you realise lots of Netflix Turkeys have good write ups.
After seeing Marky Mark in The Other Guys ( which is absolutely outstanding comedy ) I can’t take him seriously in anything else these days

Trading Places just turned up on Neon.
Still outstanding after so many years. SO 80's but magnifcent comedic performances from all involved. Loads of fun and bizarre small parts which are great fun too.
A toss up between this and Beverly Hills Cop as Eddies best movie I reckon.

Companion starring Rupert Friend, Jack Quaid & Sophie Thatcher
Thatcher is an companion bot (aka sex-bot) but she doesnt know she is one when visiting thier friends lake house and shit goes down.
Premise was ok, started well, but dragged on a bit
3 altered bot codes out of 5 is this our future?

Is that Furiosa Mad Max movie any good ?
It’s on Neon, I might wait for the ferns opinion before committing.
The Road Warrior vies with Empire Strikes back and Aliens in terms of awesome sequels even better than the originals but then the series got a bit silly. Wasn’t really a fan of the Tom Hardy one to be honest.

I thought it was better than the last one (but I might be on an island of one, maybe two if you watch and like it).

I've enjoyed both Fury Road and Furiosa. Opinions on the latter will depend on whether you like Chris Hemsworth hamming it up.
I thought Hemsworth was great, and there was less of the stupid pole bouncing which annoyed me on the Hardy one.
-
Yep
Enjoyed both -
Thought Furiosa was a bit more of a throwback, whereas Fury Road could have just been a standalone film, both had thier merits, but Furiosa the better IMO
-
Half way through Furiosa, yep it's pretty much all that the wise men of the fern said it was. Some pretty cool action scenes I must say.
Furiosas Mum was a hell of a shot with a rifle.
Some ridiculously over the top characters as expected. Obviously PEDs are easy to get hold of in the wasteland and theres loads of gyms around.
Better than the Tom Hardy one so far.
As is the case of every Mad Max movie they certainly rev their bikes a lot and lots of unnecessary bursts from the flame throwers considering the gas shortage.

so, after the unfortunate passing of Gene Hackman...they happened to be showing Crimson Tide last night and with Mrs Womble away with work i had to watch, fuck thats a good film and he was a great actor, if you havent seen it in a while i recommend taking the time
