Anscombe back, first time for a bit, as Wales attempt to stop a14 match losing streak.

    Team: 15-Blair Murray, 14-Tom Rogers, 13-Max Llewellyn, 12-Ben Thomas, 11-Ellis Mee, 10-Gareth Anscombe, 9-Tomos Williams, 8-Taulupe Faletau, 7-Tommy Reffell, 6-Jac Morgan (captain), 5-Dafydd Jenkins, 4-Will Rowlands, 3-WillGriff John, 2-Elliot Dee, 1-Nicky Smith

    Replacements: 16-Evan Lloyd, 17-Gareth Thomas, 18-Henry Thomas, 19-Aaron Wainwright, 21-Rhodri Williams, 22-Jarrod Evans, 23-Joe Roberts.

Ireland, wearing white cos of red green colour blindness, have Doris out and a bit of a swap bench/starter in various places, and a could of noobs. Not a B team imo, but not A+ either

Ireland: 15 Jamie Osborne, 14 Mack Hansen, 13 Garry Ringrose, 12 Robbie Henshaw, 11 James Lowe, 10 Sam Prendergast, 9 Jamison Gibson-Park, 8 Jack Conan, 7 Josh van der Flier, 6 Peter O’Mahony, 5 Tadhg Beirne, 4 Joe McCarthy, 3 Thomas Clarkson, 2 Dan Sheehan (c), 1 Andrew Porter
Replacements: 16 Gus McCarthy, 17 Jack Boyle, 18 Finlay Bealham, 19 James Ryan, 20 Cian Prendergast, 21 Conor Murray, 22 Jack Crowley, 23 Bundee Aki

I'd love for an upset but yeah nah, Ireland by 10-15

    Just seen the side

Really don’t see what they see in Murray

    Mee? Who?

Is Bevan injured? He’s streets ahead of Rhodri Williams

Great to see Evans and Roberts have a crack

The difference in experience is stark. So many of the Irish names are easily recognised.

I wonder if the path forward for Wales is the Irish model: Have most of your Test players running around for one province so they develop that innate understanding with each other.

I think this one will be close. Ireland will be win, but it won't be a slaughter. Ireland 6-10.

    That’s a win for Wales

Is that former Northland prop WillGriff John?

And also, why is Aaron Wainwright not starting?

Beats me. He’s been one of the very few positives for Wales. Consistently so.

Don’t think I’ll watch any 6N this weekend. Maybe England vs Scotland. Ireland will trounce wales in a yawn fest. Happy to be wrong of course.

    Great win for Wales

Another solid performance from Aberdare club man Tom Bowen on the left wing (my hometown club)

Nice to finally see some good young frontrow prospects coming through for Wales, tighthead Sam Scott demolished the Irish loosehead.
Heroic defensive performance won it for the Welsh youngsters, let's hope the senior side take note.

@Catogrande seems strange, a backrow of Wainwright/Morgan/Faletau would be by far our strongest potential trio.
I can understand wanting to involve Reffell to try and slow down Irish possession but Wainwright's all round game is far superior.

    @pooler-fan

Yep. Wainwright a better 6 than Morgan and Morgan a better 7 than Reffel. Seems muddled thinking to me.

So Red/Green jerseys are no more as it's difficult for colour-blind viewers. OK, get that.

But now the home side get to keep their normal kit and the visiting side changes strip....another good tradition fucked.
