I got excited for a moment, as I have a Rebel Sport gift card

But I'd probably have to put on 100 kegs to fit 4XL!

They're quite big too. I normally fit a large. Got one and I'll need to have it taken up. Almost looks like a dress on me

They fit long but not wide, pretty annoying.

So funny aye, the irony that we no longer have a 12 that can easily get us over the gainline. Ngani had his flaws but smashing into defensive lines wasn't an issue.

Yeah but he can’t cover full back and first five like Havili can

he was pretty much a one trick pony, didnt really perform as hoped in his limited shots in black.

It was pretty clear around his time we needed someone like him at that level, but they werent interested in Laumape and they often tried to use Goodhue as you'd expect to use Laumape.

I'd still prefer a Laumape to a Havili. Atleast he provides a point of difference and he had plenty of potential to grow.

He's playing well in Japan at the moment, was at 13 for their last game I think.

    I'll bite on the question.

I can't see why a 33 year old would give up the money and lifestyle in Japan for Super rugby, and not really sure why the Canes would want him when they have plenty of midfielders even without Jordie.

We definitely don’t need him anymore. We’ve got Higgins, Umaga-Jensen and even Proctor that can play 12 with Jordie returning next year. But I felt he was dealt a rough card by NZ Rugby which is why he left, could have ended up being an asset long term but it’s all speculative.

Was there some off field drama or did I imagine that ?

Or am I thinking Moala who was another midfield beast that deserved more chances

Nah he did a post match interview in the game where he ran over Beauden Barrett and a couple others saying how the media were disrespecting his name etc. Then NZ Rugby offered him a new contract which was a decrease to his previous one apparently which is why he left.

Never sure about Laumape, remember game and interview where he said he was being disrespected, and came across as a little petulant, because everyone wasn't falling over him? He needed to repeat that performance before making comment I thought. I liked him at 12, but as I said never really convinced me he was real top drawer!

The bar isn’t exactly high at present.

Damn you Nonu for being so amazing for so long

Could be wrong but wasn't his pay decrease due to him not making the All Blacks?

I always thought he was a wrecking ball but didn't offer a lot else, he tried the kicking game and wasn't too bad.

His 2016 and 2017 seasons for the Canes were unreal and I'll never forget the game against the Blues in 2020 in Welly. Pretty good at Super level.

Whilst I like people standing up for themselves, he had a massive chip on his shoulder and I swear his most searched on Google was his own name, he said he was humble but was the exact opposite. He probably should have just ignored everything and put his head down a little more but what the fuck do I know.

Also always remember him having a dig at everyone not playing for their smaller unions in the NPC then signing for the club based in Paris.

A different style of player to Havili but pretty the same outcome - a flat track bully who isn't world class.

He went missing in big games for the Canes and whilst he had limited opportunities in black - he never stamped his mark there either.

@KiwiMurph yeah as soon as he got distracted by the "haterz" (of which, there were none), it kinda became evident he wasn't going to push on.

Yes you're wrong, he was still in the ABs, but the coaches didn't rate him enough for his current pay packet, I guess. So he left, fair enough.
