Malachi Wrampling is my bolter for the All Blacks next year. Think he could be next years Sititi. Think he’ll get plenty of game time at the chiefs.

And a NZ side just took out another World Schools Champs yesterday beating those supposed heavyweight SA schools.
yeah but to put that in perspective the SA team they beat in the final Paul Roos Gymnasium were missing a number of their star players.
It’s an invitational tournament (presumably because the top high schools can’t afford to go to a world championship) every year?
I don’t think it’s a true world championship is it?

He looked good in TRC U20. Shame he was injured for the World Cup.
Got lots of potential! Big ask to make the ABs as a 20 yr old loose forward though.

I think both sides of the argument have strong points to it.
Most people thought the AB coaching would have produced better results. I certainly did.
They had parts of games where we looked very good but also managed to create problems that the ABs have historically never had - such as looking gassed in 2nd halves of games and not being able to in the last quarter of test matches - traditionally a time where the ABs would own.
I am hoping that a year under their belts mean that the coaching start to get the results from the side we are expecting, especially with our backline.
On the player side - I believe we have the best talent pool of players since the 2015 side. We have a great opportunity to build a great squad that can become the best in the world and go to the RWC in great shape.
SA will fall back eventually. They have too many older players not too. Their younger players look good now because they are being carried through by some generational Boks, but when they become the main players this is when things can dall apart quickly.
We have seen this happen with a number of great AB sides - 87-90, 95-97, 05-06* 2011-2016, so I am not sure why this SA side would be any different.
*Not quite the same as this side didn’t have the high amount of turnovers that other sides did

The people on here who were calling Jordie average and not in the league of Kriel / De Allende or other top centres need to watch Leinster's last few games since Jordie became available, 3 MOTM worthy performances in a row.... anyone who thinks Jordie isn't a top 3 centre in the world must be ....
... not noticing at least one of those games was at 15?
Maybe just maybe.... it's our coaches (ie Jason Holland) who aren't utilizing him as well as we could be, just look at recently how Jordie was praising Leinster and 2024 Hurricanes attack coach Tyler Blyeendal for his coaching & influence on his game.
The All Black's current problems are not cattle-related, we just have poor technical coaches and are really missing a Tony Brown / Wayne Smith / Joe Schmidt, etc...or even just a Nick Evans or Blyeendaal creative influence in the coaching group.
Um I thought Wayne Smith was helping out, and TB and JS seem to have attached their loyalties elsewhere (and I'd have been happy with TB as backs coach, and JS anywhere). You can't just replace the last RWC winning AB team that easily.
Sure the coaches could have been better but it doesn't have to be just their fault because Jordie is playing well currently at Leinster. -

No it isn't really a true World championship you are right.

I should point out it was also a trend for Razor's Crusaders to start off with a bang often getting out to strong leads before completely falling apart mentally after 50 minutes.
The 2nd Argentina test in Auckland where we put 42 unanswered points and then went 0-12 for the last 38 minutes was incredibly similar to many Crusaders games from the 3 years of Razor's tenure.

I not huge fan of Razor or otherwise, he's got the job (like Foster before) so has my complete support. The one thing I will say about his so called sticking with old players, I would of picked both Cane and TJ myself, this crap about just building for WCs, I personally disagree with.
but it wasn't just that for WC-building, but beyond this year! And Cane came back from Japan so really got a special gold card entry into the team! Were the Cane and TJP picks the best for this year, looking back? Sounds like the beginning of a hotly contested Fern thread. But they certainly are not helping 2025 All Blacks..
Agree they not helping 2025 ABs, except to perhaps help with bringing young fellas through. But not their job, their job was to do what they could to help the 2024 team win tests. See what concerns me is the idea if a player is retiring at end of this or next year we decide not to pick him, that is not how it should ever be.
There's is now way we needed cane and TJ versus Italy. That is indefensible apart from sentiment
This. I had no problem with Robertson sticking with Cane and BB and using their experience to bring new players on, but the opposite seems to have happened.
I'm sure Sititi and Lakai learned a lot from playing with Sam - but that only came about from injury. Needs to be bolder this year.

@Chris South Africa U20's finished 8th, 7th, 4th, 5th, in the last 4 World Champs, heck even Arg and Australia have been doing a lot better at U20 level since 2019. And the South Africa franchises are currently getting reamed in the European Champions Cup and URC comps....
You people with this mindset there's 'no shame in losing to SA' are part of the problem. They're not the fearsome opponent you believe they are. The SA franchise Razoroverall had a lower win % in all Super Rugby matches going back to 1996 than Australian teams overall and only won 3 titles in 26 years.
You people have convinced yourself that they're worthy of so much respect, in reality, they're extremely overrated.
A lot of assumptions in your post, you don’t know what I think or feel as I have not stated anything you assume in your post.
Maybe people like you need to calm down and don’t try to force your ideas on others, and when they don’t agree with you reverting to the childish unfounded accusations in your post.mate, I remember every time we lost a test this year instead of looking at Razor's poor tactics, bench management & selections you just singled out a few non-Crusaders player's performances (like Dmac) as if it was the reason we lost, I noticed you never piped up when your guys like Taylor or S.Barrett played poorly.

BS all I hear from you is doom and gloom you may eat your words in the long run.

@Chris I remain unconvinced that we can win 2027 WC with this current coaching staff, look at the last 4 World Cup winners all of them had at least 1 world class assistant coach, 2011 Professor, 2015 Professor, 2019/2023 Nienaber and Felix Jones, and world rugby is only getting more competitive and the gap between NZ and European resources/money getting bigger so feel we need a genuine point of difference (like Tony Brown is) going forward.
