It would be tough. Perez never seemed to come to grips with the car, it seems odd that they don't develop a more neutral car as a base. But opportunities like that don't come around very often. He'll grab it with both hands if offered

Breaking news: Liam Lawson turns down Red Bull. Says he wants a car that’s “easier to drive”. Multiple other constructors reported to be lining up to sign the prodigious Kiwi talent.

Godammit I traded in my 08 Toyota Auris too early.

Whilst it is always going to be tough in the same team as Max (he is really quite good), there is also the likelihood that Perez is a bit shit, so hopefully Liam would have his initial results compared more to Perez recent ones, than Max.
Obviously he would have to improve and adapt to the car, but Perez seemed to get worse not better, I'd back Liam to go the other way given his record of winning in new cars very quickly. They also stuck with Perez for 4 years with crap results which likely cost them at least a couple of constructors champs so you would think Liam will get a bit of slack to start.

Looks pretty good for having a fellow Kiwi in a competitive racing car for 2025

Feels like where there is smoke there is fire. Max's dad likes Liam too, said he was the "ideal" team mate for Max. I think it would be a good situation for Liam. They could have a big brother little brother relationship, he should be fast in a better car, but doesn't represent a threat to Max's position (or ego). And Perez has set the bar low

Perez officially gone.
No real news on Lawson but it’s very heavily rumoured now and being spoken as gospel.
Of course I’ll support the guy, but it’s pretty shit for Tsunoda.
Marko has said all along that Tsunoda wasn't in the running. There were rumours that he would jump teams when Honda and RB part ways

Yeah baby yeah. I’m taking my daughter to the penultimate Dutch GP where we will be supporting McLaren and Lawson. And yes I did need to mortgage my house to pay for the tickets

Gonna be a huge opportunity, and a massive challenge. The RB package was not great this year, Max optimised it, Cheko struggled. It remains to be seen if they can close the gap on McLaren in particular. But if he works hard for the team, and Max takes him under his wing he could do well. Just needs to score points most rounds, and if he can grab a few podiums too that would be amazing
