Has Rob Rush had a run ?

Is there only one Rush? If so, he played, but it's probably debatable if he had a run. He carried the ball like a skinny prop.

The captain and Ormond are ridiculously slow at distribution on attack and kill any opportunity.

    Vai looks spent.

Ng Shiu, NMB and the newbies seem to be all that's keeping up.

France beat us for the first time in SA and do it with a record score. Fucking atrocious.

From ecstasy to this. The roller coaster of being a NZ sports supporter of rugby and cricket codes

If only we would select overseas players we would reach the heights of SA.

Mathis looks like a real talent. Need a few more with his athleticism and game smarts. Rob Rush does not look like a sevens player, Collier has slowed up, and poor Sofai Maka looks completely lost ou there on defence.
Such a shame about the illness, covid? Must have impacted horribly on their preparations with so many newbies.

I recorded and watched the NZ games this morning. The good news is that the BF7s are in the SFs but made hard work of their pool game against Japan.

The AB7s need a complete reset. Cama's poor coaching was highlighted by replacing Ormond (a replacement himself) in the 2nd half instead of say Collier, when they already had a short bench. France have introduced a lot of new players who have speed and hunger - something the majority of the NZ team don't have.

    @ARHS
That does’nt surprise me regard Rob Rush , i watched Rob at the Northern Region 7s down in Morrinsville a couple of weeks back
I was really surprised he was called into the NZ 7s squad , i thought there were much better options running around on the day even Thames Valley had a very good forward who apparently had been in the NZ 7s training before Fletcher Morgan i think his name was

@Steven-Harris Fletcher Morgan is a midfielder/outside back but has some size, so could be a useful sevens forward.

    How did Senita Lauaki go?

Yes. He has the mobility and size to offer more than some of the older forwards used in the NZ team.

Luke Masirewa is still playing club rugby for Hamilton Old Boys, and the Waikato team was dominated by players from that club. Niko Masirewa was the Waikato sevens coach.

Good grief, all of a sudden the women look like they've never played rugby before.

Disgusting Hollywood from a USA player goes ignored by the ref, should have been yellow for her.

    Miller carries the team again.

Another yellow should be dished for USA not back ten.

    Back to 12 all.

All over it now, fuck knows what happened in the first 5 minutes.

And USA get away without a yellow card again when tackling Hirini by her hair.

They are fast and aggressive. Good signs and they're clearly starting to get some athletes through with a bit more smarts for the game.

Oliver is a future star of 7s and was the difference against us.

I just watched the semifinals tho, and feel like there was some very favourable refereeing the way of USA to get to that final.

About a minute to go, USA scrum near halfway. Aussies blow over them (happened several times in the game) and their half dived on the ball after it came out Australia's side.

Referee said Australia weren't pushing straight and penalises Australia. Omfg we could not have pushed straighter if we tried.

Oliver Toliver breaks the tackles off the subsequent scrum and takes the win.
