@WoodysRFC if the reports are correct he'll join Clermont for the 2025-6 season ie from September 2025. He'll have another Super Season at the Blues.

Same as Ricitelli who is apparently off after this next season I think. Plummer going might explain why the 'Perofeta to the Canes' rumour never happened. Lets hope Rico Simpson has a good NPC and is ready to step up. Still only 18 right now though.

There could be a mass exodus of No 10s after next year's Super Rugby season. Three or four by my count.

    Outside of Plummer, who else?

I can't recall such a dearth in quality at the 10 position in SR. There is no one to seriously challenge DMac and BB

Barrett is signed through 2027, so probably not him.

    Plummer, Perofeta, Cameron, Trask?

Great, so potentially we will have to put up with Beaudy until RWC27.....

Cameron is signed at the Canes for 2026

Contracts are pretty fluid nowadays. A lot likely rests on when Mo'unga returns to NZ.

Pinning your hopes on a guy who may or may not come back to NZ and who has no guarantee of being the player he was when he left? I hope that isn't Razor's master plan

That's not surprising when the rumor is that they are treading water until Mo'jnga returns.

The fascinating one for me is Dmac, he is worth so much money in Japan that it will be interesting to see what he does if / when Mo'unga returns.

The Blues looked like they were stacking 10s, if Perofeta also goes overseas, they could go to old man Barrett and some kids very quickly.

Plummer leaving because he most likely can’t see a path into the 2027 World Cup(barring injury) with if/when Richie Mounga is back in 2026. Don’t blame the guy, he’s got his AB cap so might as well cash in.

It’s a real shame imo, this could have been handled so much better. Player management is leaving a lot to be desired, not just in the AB’s, but NZR in general. A very promising 10/12 leaving at the age of 26 coming into his peak, brutal.

    @Landers92

It's a shame because I believe our attack would benefit from a 10 who runs more direct.

Dmac and BB love to run sideways - or in Beauden's case jog sideways.

Moses Leo joining the Melbourne Storm a year earlier than anticipated. Will link up with them late this month.

Bringing Richie Mo must be costing the NZRU a lot of coin. Will it be worth it if Dmac is off the scene? Hopefully we get some quality 10s who step up next year in Super Rugby.

@Landers92 heard from a good source he would have stayed in Rugby if his NPC contract had been topped up as he was only 41k with his NZ 7s contract
Would have developed into a superb centre in the XVs game
His top end pace would be better than many
For me this is a genuine loss given the shortage of midfield backs in NZ

He was no DC. But neither is anyone else. If they overpay him to get him home, I don't like the message it sends. DMac might have just turned a corner in Dublin only for Razor to bench him for sub prime BB. Meanwhile there are young and up and coming guys in lots of positions that could do with more money to incentivise them to stay longer, and guys like Plummer who decide it's time to leave when they are still in their prime
