England vs. Australia (2024)

It would have been a travesty if England had won that game , I thought England should have been YC when Australia broke and kicked ahead and Engalnd conceded what looked a very cynical penalty
Also 2 or 3 clear cut chances to pull away when they were 10 points or so ahead not taken
So much to like about the Wallabies but they will have to tighten the breakdown area and they were also exposed with kicks in behind -

Just watched a mini match package,
Great game , well done Aussies
-
Might have a good WC 2027
-
I see the Aussie league centre is only 21! Prodigious talent.

What is it with England just showing up and not getting stuck in. They seem to think that they made the team so now they don’t have to work?I can’t believe it’s the players so I have to think that it’s coming from borthwick. Well done Aussie! Enjoyed that game

It’s like they don’t have the belly to get in and really fight for it. I can’t believe it’s the players so I have to think that it’s coming from borthwick. Well done Aussie! Enjoyed that game
Being 15-3 up probably was the cause of complacency. The start came a bit too easy for them.

Entertaining game, both coaches will be unimpressed with tackle completions - that said some very nicely worked tries regardless
NH scribes will be struggling eating their Sunday dinners and wondering how NZ and Aus missed the memo about the home team winning this weekend

I think we all missed that memo. Probably wasn't sent.

Smith got found out
Bollocks. He had a bloody good game and was central to all the good stuff England did.

Gah! Another woulda/coulda/shoulda gone gone the wrong way. Aus good for the win though and a number of their guys really stood up. Valentini was all heart and energy throughout. Aus passing speed and accuracy was central to their progress, plus some good decision making in attack. Defensively though they were sometimes all at sea. England. Oh my England. What the fuck is going on? We were starting to actually play some rugby half way through the 6N and on the summer tour. The defence was beginning to work and we had some young guns coming through, making a difference. Since then we've lost Felix Jones and the defence has gone back to the bottom of the Snakes and Ladders board, we've ditched the younger guys and gone back to the has beens and the never was's.
I despair.

Eat a big bag of d!cks Ben Youngs and the rest of the NH rugby mafia

He was in the Kings School First XV for three years from the age of 14.
He played Aussie Schools Rugby at 16 and was bigger than some of the forwards.
He had to get a special exemption from NRL to play at 17.He's extremely level headed, physically gifted, and worked in one of the most professional environments in sport.
I've watched the first 11 minutes where he made his tackles, knocked back a restart, and carried once.
Sometimes you see a guy just walking around and it screams "ATHLETE".
That's him

There's a moment in the second half where he jumps for a ball in the air, floats for several seconds and then just gently redirects the ball to an oncoming player, all in one fluid motion.
My exact thought at that time was, "Does Joseph Sua'ali'i know how much money you can make in the NBA?"
Definitely a special athlete, the Wallabies are lucky to have him.
