he's going to be a fair bit bigger than Beauden , 6 foot 5 and 96 kilos already ,

you would think he will end up a few kilos over 100 kilos by the time he fills out, should end up a decent size for the 12 position that he is tipped to play.

Bit rough on ACT Crusader there. I'd have a beer with him. -

Yeah ok I should have said "may well be" not "always is". Exceptions to the rule and all that. -

Yeah he's massive. There is some serious potential there. We talk about him joining his bro, but he's with his other bro already. Will be interesting to see where he ends up. The Saders should rape, murder and pillage to keep him down there. -

Jordie looks like a taller version of Beauden. Exactly the same movements and posture.

Edit: Am watching a replay and he just threw an amazing pass that almost led to a try. Very early days but he looks bloody good.

Edit edit: He appears to be a better kicker than Beauden as well. Just slammed one over from 49 out.

I saw that too. He's 6 years younger, taller and has been rattling up the points - 25 last week from a try and 4 + 4 goals; 8 today from a try and a 3 pointer.
-

What happened to Aaron Smith, Cruden and Dagg then? All from the 'canes catchment but became world class backs playing for someone else.

Aaron Cruden made his Super debut with the Hurricanes and played his first 30 caps with a franchise and was the owner of a World Cup winners medal by the time he left to join up with Dave Rennie. So thank you for bringing him. He rather supports my point about the Canes' genius in developing young backs into world-class players.

I think all five NZ franchises will be after Jordan Barrett for next season. -

Got me thinking, and this is all speculation and down the track ,

but has there ever been a brother 10 - 12 test combination ?
-

Aaron Cruden played six tests in 2010, 5 as substitute. The one he started was awful. ABs were down by 12 or so points until Cruden was subbed for Slade and then they stormed back to win.

As for 2011, Cruden only got the callup because of the first five curse.

So...a sub, a shocker and then an injury forced selection. In my view, not a "world class player" at that time, but became one after moving to Chiefs.

I think the 'canes "development" of Cruden could be well summed up by them preferring Dan Kirkpatrick ahead of Cruden for most of 2011. -
Canes have produced C Smith - best All Blacks 13 ever, M Nonu - best 12 ever, Cullen - best 15 ever and hey we may have produced the best 10 ever by the time he finishes his career. Jordie wouldnt be stupid coming to us thats for sure.

We have been blessed with backs down the years. Cully, Lomu(from the Blues of course), Ieremia, Tana, first year Ice (great at FB), CJ, I'm sure I'm forgetting many
-

Clearly too young to have seen Osborne and Robertson. Multiple uses of the "ever" gives age away along with the lack of apostrophes in appropriate places.

You win one title and this shit happens without either of the mentioned midfield players. :mocking:

I'll give you Cully, best "ever".
-

If you use the word "ever" in that situation it only really works if you do it in caps and bold font otherwise it's obviously up for debate. -
My sons team have been lucky enough to have Bruce Robertson helping our most of the year at trainings, and at the last game one of the boys said to him 'Bruce, my dad said you were the best Centre ever, is that true?'
