<p>I don't use tapatalk and TBH don't use the mobile for browsing much anyway as I'm normally always close to a pc/laptop. I agree that the banner is fine as it is with one small change if possible. Can you keep the banner in place when you scroll down the thread so that we can jump around a bit easier?</p>

<p>I use Tap-a-talk, a quite early model but it has given good service over the years. £1 11s 6d at an Army disposal store back in '62, after we had dispatched the dastardly Hun in the second Big Show.</p>

<p>I'm not quite sure about what the young people here mean by "mobile". If I stretch it I can use it at this end of the dining room table and at the other end too, which means it is mobile I suppose, but if someone comes in from the stables they walk right into the wires and knock the bloody thing flying!</p>

Hey refer to the age thread in off topic, we aren't all middle aged (old) blokes. <br><br>
I mainly read the fern on my mobile through the safari browser that comes with iphone. Think it must be the mobile version because there is a button to go the "full version" at the bottom. <br>
Works really well other than, as mentioned above, you want to bold something to directly ridicule it. -

<p>Making progress on the new software and host. In a few days I'll grab a couple of you to take a look and see what needs to be adjusted.</p>

<p>Have found a cool way to do the hosting, I won't bore you too much with the details but it's a dedicated server with the database on the same machine. It's also closer to our timezone, all of which should add up to a faster experience. Also means we shouldn't have to prune posts as aggressively as before, so searching will be more useful.</p>

<p>Downside is the migration is not going to take the bloody passwords across (saved in a different format), so it's going to be i<strong>mportant to have your correct email address saved against your profile</strong>. The migration script is going to generate a new password and email it to you.</p>

<p>We'll also have a process in place to have the moderators reset accounts if you get locked out as well. It's going to be a hassle, but worth it in the long run.</p>
