Maybe he's still saying what Alistair Campbell tells him to say?

Did anybody actually follow it? His initial tweet simply said it was a sham that Franks wasn't cited - not controversial.

He then faced an absolute barrage of abuse from NZ tweeters. I'm not surprised he lost it. I would have too.

Whole bunch of Irish having a go at you directly (like they did to me in 2007), it's pretty hard to not have a general pop back at the country.

sometimes it pays to just take a breath and step away.

I always re-read work e-mails several times before I send them, and for him, his public persona is quite important, so should really take a breath and think before posting.

I tell my 11 & 8 year old, take 3 seconds to think about what you are going to say, alas they still say a lot of stupid shit!

That's pretty much what Twitter is though isn't it? Make a cock of yourself and reap what you've sown . What was he expecting given his history?

Was wondering which thread this would appear on.

I'm not a Tweeter but there's a limit to the amount of words right ? can only assume that's the only reason he didn't mention Tana and Kev trying to kill him in 2005.

Still SBW made a bit of a "dick move" ( copyright hydro11 ) by having a go at Cheika I guess.....

140 characters for Twitter. I like it, because it forces people to generally get to the point.

It's his constant sniping at New Zealand. He's clearly a bitter individual who hasn't got over never being able to win against New Zealand.

Apart from uprisings and revolutions, what is Twitter good for?

His initial tweet was defensible (although the interest he takes in the foul play on this particular incident from this team is worth noting) but after a bit of needling his true colours came out. That's the issue?

There has always been this impression tha BOD (along with Hastings, Wood, Jones and many others) have a simmering disdain for NZ. He gits a bit of stick and he shows just how thin his skin is. His replies were pretty pointed - it's not like called them fluffy bunnies and told them to fuck off.

BOD poked for the same reason the NZ fans and now media are - they have a long standing grievance. Long may it continue. He ended is diatribe by saying he is coming out for Lions tour (I assume as an analyst) - hopefully he makes it through at least the first test this time.

It was also retweeted by the manatee who called him another victim of unchecked all black thuggery . They can both get fucked by a syphilitic bear.

So are we allowed to boo Owen Franks for the next 6 years now?

I mean he attacked our player in a viscous manner and got away without any punishment...

Not yet. I think the threshold is 3 acts of dickery against the same player.
