Some of Barrett's kicks were beauties and put the Wallabies under great pressure. I don't think he has kicked too much. You cannot always throw the ball wide.

It was really noticable to me that under no circumstances were we to retaliate against the niggle. Aaron Smith saw Coles about to spark up but he doused it immediately. It really is a professional outfit, dem All Blacks.

It might be a have been a bit more interesting if Frank's incident happened in Australia with the local broadcaster showing it over and over on the big screen. 70 minutes of 14 vs 15 would have made things a bit closer.

Perhaps. Poite seemed perfectly happy with it and was right there. Once he said "Off zee 'ead!" three times you think the TMO would have had a look after the directives on neck rolls etc. 
Though the TMO was Veldsman wasn't it? So it might not have mattered

I hate to pull out useless statistics, but this is a new low for the 'sloe (in modern times). 
 
The Aussies scored one try and 17 points in 160 minutes of rugby the last two Saturdays. The last time the Aussies scored fewer than 17 points against the ABs over consecutive weekends was August 1964 - losing 14-9 and 18-3 at Carisbrook and Lancaster Park. They scored a try in each game.
 
In consecutive games (the first in 1972 and the other in 1974) we beat them 38-3 and 11-6 in Sydney and Auckland respectively with the Aussies scoring one try over the pair of games.
 
In one of those games in each pair, the Aussies were at least in with a chance of winning / drawing as time expired i.e. they lost by two five point margins.

BOD was retweeting about it with the reverse angle, which is even worse than the first angle. So there's that.
 
 
In any case, the ARU has it at their option to get it reviewed I think? The match review official can either refer an incident on his own, or from either team.
 
Douglas didn't make a big deal out of it at the time, because he looked to care more about getting the ball. Rumour is he didn't want to make a big deal of it after the match either. I have no way of verifying or disproving that rumour. 
 
However, the ARU would be doing a poor job of player welfare if they DIDN'T refer the incident.

I agree with all above, it looks very bad, and I think it aint gonna go away, these things need to be done by correct process (which by SANZAR rules, it has) rather than trial by social media

Poite should have immediately penalised Franks for playing the head of an opponent. Kane Douglas's lack of reaction to that as opposed to his clear annoyance at Franks applying pressure to his neck in the same maul is telling. So is that the Wallabies didn't refer it to the citing commissioner.

Agree totally, and if you can give me video about Coleman going at that AB player's face, I'll certainly consider it in the same light as Franks having multiple attempts at Douglas' head. 
 
Because that is the issue with Franks - he goes left arm over the shoulder/neck and Poite warns him (which he doesn't hear because its loud). Its when he releases any firm hold, and just decides the face is the better target, that I have issue with

I agreed with Hansen overall: sometimes in a maul you can't see where your hands are going in the first instance. But this is not an accident. 
 
If the ARU aren't going to stick their oar in the water, and Douglas doesn't want to make a big deal out of it, then OK.
