Cantab79's team looks about right to me - apart from Coltman - I don't see him in the frame.

Good call.... :)
-

They've clearly opted for guys that have already been in the AB environment. The only one who hasn't been, but was already mentioned by Hansen before the June series, is Rieko Ioane. (Even the ABs can't correctly spell his first name apparently)

-

That makes sense - there's a lot to absorb for a hooker in one week.

-

Steve Hansen, when asked about Rieko Ioane's selection, said:

"Yes, he had a very good Super season and he's really someone who we see, in the future, could have a long career. He's only 19 and he's got the opportunity with two guys who are injured - both are short-term injuries, so they'll be back. Seta has already been with us and we bring Rieko in to have a look at."

The queque is longer in the backrow.
-
-

So now we know who's been called in, here is my crack at who the injury replacements in the 23 will be.

11. Savea

12. ALB

16. Parsons

23. McKenzie (good time to let him loose on a mentally damaged Wobbly team)

Don't think I've forgotten anyone..
-

Another example of Mr. Hansen's astuteness considering he only had the 400 minutes to base his "very good" rating on.
-

From a purely selfish Mitre 10 Cup viewpoint thank christ they did not call up Ash Dixon and Ricky Riccitelli.
-

19.. fuck that's young. Who's our youngest ever AB?

Edit - the GOAT winger Lomu at 19 years 45 days.
-

Rieko was born March 18, 1997. Sooo that makes him, uhhh, 19 and 150 odd days, so he's older.

Yes, especially because our best prop is a 21 year old hooker.
-

And here is one especially for Nepia who will undoubtedly recall Lui Paewai was just 17 years 36 days old when be became All Black No 285 when played the first of his eight games for the 1923 All Blacks at Athletic Park..
