Bledisloe I (All Blacks team room bugged)
-
This isn't Rooty Hill RSL where they are staying, I'm sure there have been many commercially sensitive meetings held there in the past month. Perhaps it is left over from that.

The fact they were suspicious after RWC, brought the equipment this time and then found it this time though is very suspicious. No idea why they contacted the ARU should've gone straight to the AFP. -

ABs might have missed a trick here - should have left the mic in the room and held sham team meetings all week.

"We're going for the element of surprise this week boys - it's grubber kicks all day and Richie's coming back!"

Maybe they did, and got the story held until today for more theatre... -

if only that were that simple...
-
-

If Winger were a better troll he should be saying the Canes coach should be AB coach. Hell, everytime a super rugby side wins, just make that super rugby coach the AB coach. It isn't like international rugby is different to super rugby and that combinitions can't gel into expert reliable combos overnight. Oh no. In fact, make Winger coach of the ABs. That would solve all the current problems and make far larger and more spectacular new ones...

perhaps that's how Ofa became an AB.....Shag had too many meetings with ultra-optimistic Sir JK
-
Stuff just leaked a transcript of the phone call between Boyd and Hanson.

" hello Steve? Chris Boyd here"
" gday well done on the rugby title mate "
" cheers, I wanting to have a word with you about the number of canes players in the team "
"Is that right?"
" yeah considering the final placing a of the teams (realises he can hear dial tone) ......, um Steve you still there...,,,,?"
( sound of resigned sigh )
Phone call ends. -

Australian Rugby Union (ARU) boss Bill Pulver told the Herald the organisation was alerted to the discovery by Tew this morning - and the two rugby bodies have handed the matter to police.

Pulver immediately cleared the ARU from any involvement or knowledge whatsoever.

"Look, I have literally just seen a note from Steve Tew telling me about this and a brief statement they [New Zealand Rugby] are about to put out which confirms that they found a listening device and the two unions have agreed to hand the matter over to the police," Pulver said.

"Mate, of course [the ARU is not involved]. It is completely ludicrous. I just think it's a ludicrous concept that there are listening devices being placed in team rooms. I don't know how that could happen."

I'm 99% sure it's got nothing to do with the Wallabies.

Cheika gave a presser this week about how he refuses to ask Mick Byrne about AB moves/secrets. Would be funny if at the same time he was bugging AB team meetings...

Maybe that was the hidden meaning of the presser- he didn't even need to ask Byrne, he already knew!
-
If it wasn't for us you would suspect the owner of the bug have taken it back to avoid being exposed

Nah - you've been watching too much Lieutenant John McClane (and Liam Messam in Taken :fishing: ) peering, as they do, at the offending device to find that, without question, it was held in the storeroom at CIA Office No 352 and marked out on May 6.

Evidence right there is was Cheika.

Every nation has a few defining characteristics and behaviors. Poms like warm beer. Irish like any beer so long as there is plenty of it. The French love snails, cheese and surrendering. The Germans like invading Poland. Canadians are polite. USAians are nutjobs. Kiwis are god's gift to the world. Aussies are all dodgy criminal types. Stands to reason it was Cheika, the ARU and Bonocock all in cahoots.
-

We'll soon know if that theory is correct, Bono is the weak link. His conscience will get the better of him and he'll make a public apology ... at 9:30pm though.
-
Ok , going forward when and how often can we bring this up to embarrass the Aussies? So far I'm thinking before every test match between us and again if we happen to lose . Also if they ever try and take the moral high ground over us on anything dodgy we've done . Anything I've missed ?

Probably a good idea to lay on the sarcasm every time they deny it too for example "Yes Barbarian we totally believe your overrated coach on a four match losing streak wouldn't resort to anything so pathetically desperate . Totally believe it mate". -

Where was Winger last year when the Highlanders won the Super title and only had Ben Smith and Aaron Smith starting in the RWC final for the ABs?

if memory serves me right, the Hurricanes had 5 players start in that RWC final. Surely the Highlanders deserved more players than the Hurricanes?
-

Maybe, in Winger's world, Hansen is only looking at tape a year old. Forget about this modern stuff, he's doing it all on a 12 month delay!
-
Pockock did it.

In his quest to make the world a better place he was listening for homophobic comments. And he'd have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids. -
In all seriousness though, who would actually do this? Is there really enough motivation for betting agencies? Anyone more important than the all blacks would have their own security to find the device and from at least one article I read the device was still actively running. Surely though I can't see the aru stooping to those levels. Maybe a rogue assistant coach? Will be interesting what the police find, again according to articles it was a very sophisticated setup.

Has anybody seen Scott Johnson recently? ;)

Don't forget Dan Crowley was a Australian Rugby Player, and undercover cop.

All Blacks room bugged.

Coincidence? Any Rugby Union that can keep an undercover cops secret identity....er....secret would find bugging the opposition's secret team strategy room a piece of cake.

Cruden to come on and tear it up. Fekitoa to have a blazing game, Crotty to prove he belongs. Hames and Savea to come on and make a blunder or two.
