Also astonishing that so few other players from Waikato are in the team. They only lost the National Final this year, but won everything else.
And Mikkelson didn't even play for Waikato at the nationals. There was an ex-AB winger who played very well in all the sevens tournaments for Waikato and would add some much-needed pace and experience.

@Bones Yes, then NZ goes through even after a loss to Fiji and a win from Canada, because then NZ & Canada would have the same number of wins, but NZ has beaten Canada.
But Canada has beaten Fiji...
