@Unite Yeah it's a bit odd - it never used to be but now none of the links work on the leg pages.

On the rugby. Looking pretty sharp, not as good as we used to be, but you can sense there's quite a bit more confidence and application. Curry, Forbes and Mikkelson were huge. Still have no fucking clue about Collier but it is what it is. Khan looks a lot more confident and is starting to step up, as well as Iopu-Aso who is starting to beast it...How much does he resemble a young Kaino. Lastly, Koroi is a star in the making, what poise, vision and skill for a kid.

    Thanks @Stargazer

Haven't downloaded the App. Just the web page when accessed on my mobile doesn't have links to a schedule.

plenty of people moaning on social media about the atmosphere and lack of people at the 7s...

Think the Wellington CC, Westpac Stadium and NZR do need to look at things and how they can breathe life into this event again.

People inevitably comparing it to the 9s which IMO is not a fair comparison, 1 that is in what, its 3rd year, being in Auckland is more accessible to a larger number of people, we dont get a huge amount of top class league in NZ compared to rugby.

That was an awesome game between Scotland and England, with the Scots going through to the semis. (14-12)

With some of these NZ players you know the error is coming and you are just waiting for it - Iupo Aso, Molia and of course Collier.

    Fiji take the win: 26 - 10.

Too many errors made by NZ, some questionable ref decisions going Fiji's way, but definitely the best team won.
Wondering who will be in the NZ team for Sydney ...

Sevens seems a relatively simple game to me. If you have the ball, you are going to score. No one can defend for seven minutes and stop you from scoring. The most important part of the game therefore isn't attack but the most important part of the game is maintaining or gaining possession. The problem with Tietjens is we were taking the ball into contact too much and giving the other teams a chance to take the ball away from us. Today there were too many risky passes. In 15's a 50/50 pass can make sense because there are less tries per minute. In 7's it is best to not throw that 50/50 pass and just score two phases later.

Some of those errors were genuinely caused by Fijian pressure, however.
