NPC - news, injuries etc

Forget the Blues, him signing with Southland implies he missed out on Auckland NPC selection.
I haven't seen him play, is that an obviously wrong selection? How does he compare to someone like Plummer?
-
@Duluth Haha only joking about that one, but not too fussed about him leaving and I see him more as a 12 that can play 10 as opposed to being a specialist 10. Leuila, Faiane and Plummer are better bets to invest time in imo.

Hawera probably hasn't been released by the Brumbies to play for Southland so they would need a replacement.
Speaking of Southland, @Bones' favourite sevens player Dylan Collier has been back playing for Otorohanga in Waikato club rugby.
Score! I bet Waikato are stoked. I couldn't think of a better province for him.
Edit: Next you'll say they're snaring all the talent and Ambrose Curtis has turned up in the Waikato too. Throw those guys outside Guildford and watch the magic happen.

@SammyC Yeah he's a prospect worth watching out for, but it's not as if we've labelled him as an AB in waiting or anything.
No doubt you'll be waiting for him to fail though
Until the Saders poach him

News about the Farah Palmer Cup (women's NPC):
- Ta$man will enter a team for the first time
- There will be 11 participating teams (compared to 9 teams last year), with Hawke's Bay returning as well
- The competition will be split in 2 divisions, just like the Mitre 10 Cup, with 2 cross-over games to be played
I haven't seen a draw yet, so don't know for sure which teams will be in the Premiership division and which teams in the Championship division. Based on last years result, I assume that at least semi-finalists Counties Manukau, Auckland, Canterbury and Wellington will be in the Premiership division, probably joined by Waikato and Manawatu. The remaining teams, North Harbour, Otago, BOP, Ta$man & Hawke's Bay would then compete in the Championship division.

@antipodean yep, seems to understand and read the game pretty well, so has plenty to offer even if more in a mentoring role.
