Southland just didn't have any ball or territory in the 1st half, especially. Very impressed with Papalii and the capt Reidlinger-Kapa.

Anything can happen in a final but MAGS will be strong favourites based on the 2 SFs. Hastings had some stagefright. 
 
I'm satisfied with Hamilton BHS's season as getting to the Top 4 was a very good achievement. This SF was close.

It has been done before. I think at least one of the Auckland teams did it when they won the title.
 
Edit: MAGS did it in 2010 - the last time they made the Top 4.

No. Southland was your typical SI team - full of smaller white boys, and MAGS your typical Auckland team full of large Polynesian boys. 
 
I think the final will be an exciting game for the neutrals (I won't be able to watch it myself) as both schools have similar strengths. But I would still favour MAGS. Obviously I hope Hastings wins. :)

I'm surprised Tupaea makes the team and his Ham BHS teammate Poihipi didn't.

And no Tom Florence? He was injured vs Ham BHS so might not be available
