Totally agree. Contrast that with the attitude after the France QF exit inn '07. Not a peep about the ref from anyone despite all the leading questions in the aftermath.

Trouble is, Kirani James from Grenada (pop. 109,590) is a near-lock to win a medal in the 400m, probably gold, which puts them top of the per capita standings by a country mile!

THey were pinged alot, but then, maybe they deserved it, especially when they were playing catch up without the ball, they were having to push things harder, another viewing might give that insight.

I think on any other day, the number of balls the Fijians put down, either bounce for us or forward, and turnover, today, they bounced for Fiji.

Yeah Fiji's population is about 800,000 so they are gunning for a place on the podium behind Grenada...

I've never particularly warned to Tietjens as a person, you'd have to point a gun at my head to get me to even open his biography.

Maybe he stood still and the game moved on, maybe NZ just wasn't good enough but by Christ they didn't deserve to be in a quarter final, if they had beaten Fiji it would have been an absolute fucken travesty.

I think we got poor calls in both the women's final and the quarter final. But at the end of the day you have to suck it up and lose with grace, something That was evident in 2007

Sounds to me like the wheels fell of the campaign somewhat well before they left for Rio. Lost the dressing room or fights amongst the players or some such I expect details will emerge in the fullness of time.

Titj had a great run, but all runs have to end eventually. In the end time catches up with us all. It will for Hansen as well if we leave him in the post long enough.

Hope Fiji go all the way and their first medal is a gold.
