    Aarghhh!!

Wilde climbing stairs at the end.

He just needed to have one more little surge to disillusion Yee's chase.

Wonder why Yee let him get so far ahead.

That was a bit gutting. I feel for Wilde but from the looks of it he left it all out there on the run. Can't feel too bad for him.

Must have burned a lot of fuel making up for the swim.

Maybe Yee was sticking to his own race strategy? With about a km to go he looked cooked. Fuck bloody

The commentators said Wilde flew his family over. They have never seen him race overseas. Pretty awesome

That's what the 'Lympics is about.

Hugging each other at the end, great mates apparently

And it'll be 4 years before I sit down and watch another whole triathlon.

Hayden gives McCullough his flowers for helping on the bike. And dropped an F bomb on live TV. And congratulates Yee. Awesome

    @canefan A bit of a Kane Williamson-like speech.

    Great race - no tears.

As he said, he was happy it was a fair fight for he and Yee. No excuses, the best man won

    Amazing 10 mins for GB.

Yee overtakes Wilde in the last 100 metres (boooo....) and then they overtook the Netherlands rowers in literally the last metre.

Gutted for Wilde, he looks like he had that completely under control.

    Huge effort.

Probably expended a bit more on the cycle leg, but he put himself in a position to win gold and Yee had that little bit extra on the run.

spiking the ball towards the Eiffel Tower with the ball caught in the gap in the metalwork

    Not a euphemism?

A wide angle version of this perspective and composition - but maybe the tower may look too small

Alternatively a zoomed in shot compressing the foreground and background

    It’s a night shot

The distance which separates the Women's BMX and Women's skateboard is absolutely massive

Then the blokes kick it up a million notches

    Great BMX finals
